Product Information

A USB CD player with MP3 playback and effects.

The CDJ-400 is not just a simple CD player, yet it has it's simplicities. It's compact, cosmetic design makes it easy to dismiss it as just a nice little CD player, but don't be so quick to judge. Not only does it play traditional CDs and MP3s, but it works as a CD turntable as well, with a scratch jog effect, looping functions, and MIDI support/ It features full USB1 integration, allowing you to bring your music to the foray in a variety of ways, including thumb drives or other external hard drives and MP3 players. With all of the buttons conveniently located on the top of the player, you'll be able to quickly and easily initiate the functions you use most. The multi-function selector knob/button with it's sizable, dot-matrix LCD display make locating and accessing files from your various sources as effortless as pressing or turning a knob.

The CDJ-400 CD Player comes with a PC mode, making it a native controller for DJs who want to utilize their pre-existing DJ software, such as SERATO Scratch LIVE3 or Pioneer DJS2. The sliders and buttons on the CDJ-400 can be matched up with their virtual counterparts, and it can also be turned into a MIDI controller in much the same, uncomplicated fashion. Scratch DJs will find the Pioneer CDJ-400 to be a fun new tool to add to their arsenal as it not only allows for traditional "vinyl" scratching, but includes three special effects - Bubble, Trans, and Wah - which can be enabled on the fly or, with the "hold" button, retained throughout a session until it's release. The Digital Jog Break features three more effects - Jet, Roll, and another Wah. The Loop Divide and Hot Loop functions give turntablists even more options.

Easy enough for a beginner to use, but with enough features to please the working DJ, this CD player is an excellent investment for anyone wanting to get people movin and groovin.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

NEW REVIEW - like a swiss army knife

I bought the CDJ-400s thinking they were a good way to get started DJing because they had all the basics of the professional-level cd players at half the cost. I am happy every time I play with these CDJs. I had played a few gigs using both CDs and USB sticks in the CD players, which I thought was great as it is, but then I came across a video online explaining how to set up the CDJ-400s with Traktor Pro WITHOUT using a soundcard. Yes, they have built-in sound cards that would serve a mobile or bedroom dj just fine. I just spent the last few hours on a cloud because instead of having to buy Traktor Scratch Pro to use my CDJs to control Traktor, I only had to pay $79 for an upgrade from an old version of Traktor I had stashed away. Amazing.

WOW....SIMPLE

Its easy to look back and compare it to the pioneer products in the past, and if your thinking "yea most likely the mk 2's" well youve pretty much got a good on-look on this one, but unlike the last pioneer cdj's this one has different features, remember (different not better) the thing that really stands out on this product is the usb port which i really think seems handy considering the eventually touring dj you might become, its as simple as sticking your ipod into your computer which means...no more cd books, very convienent.

Rocking Good

These CDJs are awesome. I love them. Just as good as the 700 series. I love the USB hook up option. Really worth the money. As a House/Electro DJ these are helping to the next level of DJing. The scratch feature is of the wall. Get these. DJ K-Drive
