Product Information

Full MP3 compatibility, hot looping, jogdial with adjustable resistance, and improved presentation of track and WAV data.

• Full MP3 support including VBR files at any bitrate

• Customizable jobdial for improved effects timing

• Instant reverse and up to 3 cue points per CD

• Vinyl or CDJ mode, with vinyl speed adjust touch/brake and release/start

• Flexible looping options

The Pioneer CDJ-1000MK3 features the same robust build, polished look, and clear layout as previous CDJs. But the subtle revisions add more intuitive features, make it easier to transport music, and improve track info: refinements that make cueing, looping, scratching, and stretching a track easier than ever. With full MP3 support including VBR files, intelligent features, such as the direct folder search button, you can quickly access files within folders on the disc for intuitive, fast cueing. A total wide tempo range (+70% to —100%) also gives greater control than other models. An instant reverse feature is controlled with a toggle switch and can be used immediately within any track without having to stop or start.

Along with multimedia cards, SD cards are now also compatible with the CDJ-1000MK3 so that hot cues, hot loop points, and WAV display data can be easily stored and loaded. The removable memory card can also be used in any CDJ-1000, so once you've stored your favorite cue and loop points they're stored for life. The CDJ-1000MK3 also has a feature that allows you to duplicate memory cards. The display of the MK3 has been improved to give more accurate display of memory points within the track.

The CDJ-1000MK3's 7" jogdial has been improved so you can quickly and easily alter the resistance of the jog wheel to tailor it to your individual style. The jogdial also features a new metallic nonslip finish. The jogdial display has also been improved with a raised fluorescent display to increase brightness and a larger cue marker with new 45<## HC deg ##> angle marks to make it easier for scratch DJs to time their effects. The track display resolution has been doubled, the lighting is multicolor and fluorescent and, as well as displaying the total number of tracks and track position, the WAV data and playing address details are extended so you can see a track's entire length at a glance.

Hot cue is now partnered with a new hot loop feature that stores up to 3 loops per track. These points can then be recalled by hitting either of the A, B, or C buttons. This function can also be used like a mini sampler for vocals, stabs, or breaks. Realtime seamless loop offers a quick and simple way to set a loop while a track is playing. Once the loop is set, it can then be looped continuously or until the ReLoop/Exit button is pressed. When released, the track continues playing without any pause. The loop can be re-trigged at any time by hitting the ReLoop button. Fine-tuning a loop is quick and easy with the ability to adjust both the in and out points of a loop stored in memory.

The CDJ-1000MK3 can be set in either Vinyl or CDJ mode. In CDJ mode, the jog dial functions just like a Pioneer CDJ player, but without the touch sensitivity. When the CDJ-1000MK3 is in vinyl mode, the top of the jog dial functions just like a vinyl turntable. Pressing down stops the music and allows you to scratch or cue your track by rotating the jog dial in either direction. Separate control knobs allow for quick adjustment of start and stop timing.

Pioneer's master tempo locks the pitch of the track even when you change the speed so you can speed up or slow down the beat without any noticeable difference in how the vocal and instruments sound. A 100mm linear high-precision slider gives you total control and ensures that the tempo adjustment is easy and accurate. Ranges of +/- 6%, +/-10%, +/-16% and +/-100% (+70%/-100% for MP3) can be assigned to the tempo control slider. Tempo control reset restores the tempo to 0% or original tempo of the track regardless of the slider position.

Auto cue is the fastest way to find the beginning of a track. The sound level can also be changed to suit your style of music (-36dB to —78dB). There is also an option to turn it off if you prefer to cue up your CD tracks manually. A cue point can be set on the fly and stored into the internal memory by just simply hitting the in/real-time cue button. The current cue point is indicated within the jogdial's center display to show where the cuepoint is relative to the current play position.

Equipped with Pioneer's wide range technology--Legato Link Conversion--the CDJ-1000MK3 is capable of reproducing sound frequencies above 20kHz, which are lost during normal CD-format playback. Not only does this give great sound reproduction but sounds closer to the original recording and more analog like vinyl.

The CDJ-1000 has a guard to prevent you from accidentally pressing the eject button. The CD is locked until the track is stopped. This can be deactivated as well if you are looking to do quick mixes. The player also features a new Quick Return function; in the event you accidentally eject a playing CD, reinserting the CD will resume playback from the point the music stopped.

Sound jumps or skipping is prevented by using shockproof memory for continuous playback even in the event of a bump or knock. Oil-dampened floating suspension prevents sound skipping, even when the player is subjected to impact during use or vibrations generated from high-volume music and low-frequency bass.

The CDJ-1000MK3 is equipped with full-feature digital output. This means you can keep your scratching and master tempo playback entirely in the digital domain. Users who simply want to use the digital output for archival purposes may do so via the digital mode switch on the rear of the unit. All connectors on the rear of the unit are now gold-plated for higher connection quality and longevity.

The ultimate DJ CD deck. Order today and see what all the fuss is about!

pio vs. denon

I have owned a pair of denon dn-s5000s for 3 years now and bought my first 1000 a couple months ago. I understand where everyone comes in on the industry standerd because this thing is built like a brick. But as far as features I think it lacks a little much vs. the Denons. The removable hard drive and the sound waves are the only features i would like to see intigrated into the denon. Denons are made just as sturdy and I have not had 1 problem with mine yet I think the extra 500 dollars is not worth the buy when you have a more impressive machine out there for so much cheaper. All in all tho it is a wonderful product, wins second place in the tabletop cd/mp3 battles

Pioneer CDJ 1000 MK3 Review

The Pioneer CDJ 1000 MK3 is an amzing cd player. Filled with features and a very good quality digital vinyl scratching effect. If you arent a complete vinyl addict, then this is the product for you. It is hard to switch from vinyl to cds but once the MK3 came out, I had to. The removable sd card is great and you can always get more memory but i suggest that you purchase Final Scratch or Serato Scracth Live. The MK3 is an amazing machine with a beautiful design, one of the best looking CD Players on the market in my opinion. It is great for battle djs and even good for mobile djs if they want to add a little scratching to their performance. Overall, I would say the Pioneer CDJ 1000 MK3 is an amazing product

Worth money, if you can afford

Not a bad player...many features if you're into that stuff. However, it's expensive. If you have money to burn, a good buy.

PIONEER MKIII

When I first saw the MKIII I thought wow that's a realy nice looking cd player. I started to play around with it and that's when it happened. Love at first site/touch. If you're looking for the best possible equipment out there you need this. Also i would reccomend you get a djm-400/909 and serato. The way I see it quality and pefromance just came together in this new item.

Impressive

I purchased a pair of the MK3's a few months back. I've used just about every cd turntable on the market and this one is clearly the best out there by far!!! The only problem I've had to date is with the hot cue buttons. Be careful, they break easy. However, I should point out, I tried out the updated MK2's this week, and I think they are just as good. Less features, but half the price!! If your serious about DJ'n, my advice, PIONEER ONLY!!!

Blown Away!

I am a Reggaeton producer who lives and dies by the lap top, until now. I went to a a last minute presentation to D.J. for some guys and they told me all they got was C.D. machines. The Vinyl lover inside of me have never allowed me to experiment with C.D.s, so I went on and took all my beats in a couple of C.D.s. I was blown away. Since the moment I saw the words Vinyl written in them I fell in love. It felt like L.P.s, Old School stuff. Great Job Pioneer. I am reinventing my live setup.
