I picked up two of these 10" triggers for my studio. I hooked them up to one of my drum brains and took them for a test drive. They worked perfectly. I was not disappointed at all. The price on these is so low that I actually paid more for the harware to mount them. I'll probably pick up two more in the future. If you're looking for good cymbal triggers, you can't beat this price. Pintech makes larger sizes too, but I don't know why you'd need them any bigger unless you just want to have big black plastic frisbees mounted on your drum rack.

I was looking for a ride with size. It accomadates size, but the plastic makes it louder . It is made of hard plastic, and wants to spin on the stand. It has no knock-out to hold it in place like most brands. The sound through my kit is good. Triggering works nice. I just think that they need some work to be contenders.

Comments about Pintech Trigger Cymbal:

Bought the PC14 to upgrade a DTX400K kit. Buying the Pintech cymbal and a Yamaha CYAT500 cymbal mount was $30 cheaper than the Yamaha PCY90AT.

Compared to the stock Yamaha single zone cymbal the Pintech is a bare bones as you can get. A cheap piece of plastic, a piezo sensor a piece of foam. There are youtube videos about making a comparable cymbal for $9 from an old tupperware plate. Visually the embossed 'PINTECH' and stylized American Eagle sticker do nothing more than cheapen the already bare bones looks of cymbal.

It does trigger well. But there is no rebound and the pad is loud. Don't miss the pad otherwise you get a dull 'thud' and little more. Compared to the Yamaha cymbal where you can hit just about anywhere.

It is large, and makes a good ride cymbal. I didn't have any trouble with the cymbal spinning on the stand. But again, I use it as a ride so not a lot of heavy hitting.

If they would spend a few dollars to either increase the strike area or just put some lipstick on this pig it'd be a real winner. But for now its a great big MEH. But it if you need the barest of bare triggers on a piece of plastic that looks like a cymbal.

I use this on my Yamaha dtx set at home. Not a bad cymbal replacement for my older, unresponsive crash. Responsive and sensitive. Hopefully it stays that way for a long time.

I purchased three Pintechs: 1x10" and 2x14". My only regret is that I wish I had gotten all of them in 14".

            ION Kit Player

            Comments about Pintech Trigger Cymbal:

I enjoy learning the drums with my kids on the Ion Drum kit playing on ps3 rock band. I bought two of these cymbals because the rock band ones were not triggering. These cymbals work great every hit. Nice feel, quiet, no complaints. Thanks pintech. One day maybe this bass player will have a drummer in his own house too.

            Best Value for the Cost

            By SV

            Comments about Pintech Trigger Cymbal:

This E-Cymbal triggers well with my Roland TD3 or my Yamaha DD55. The material however is not so solid. You can actually bend the cymbal with your hands, unlike a Roland cymbal which made of hard plastic covered in rubber. If you are a hard hitter, this might not last as long. I expected it to of the same kind of material but I guess I expected too much of it for the price. Overall, this cymbal is a very good value in its price range. Anybody who wants to add a cymbal for their electronic drumset should consider buying this.

A little flimsy feeling at first but holds up great to all the beating I give it. Great sensitivity and feel. A good ride cymbal.

            Comments about Pintech Trigger Cymbal:

Just got 2 of these in the mail today (10") I have 2 Roland dual trigger cymbals on the same kit and these pintechs trigger better and more accurately. For the price this was an awesome buy. Very surprised and happy pintech customer! Why pay 4 x as much for Roland unless you need the dual trigger (BTW i split the dual trigger wire to accommodate the pintechs. Better to have 4 single cymbals than 2 dual triggers)

            Ultra Cheap

            By Douglas Richards

            from Lakeland, Fl

            Comments about Pintech Trigger Cymbal:

I purchased one of these to replace an OEM Alesis cymbal. It has no way to lock onto a cymbal stand, therefore it spins when playing. I drilled a hole to solve this problem which worked sufficiently. The biggest problem is that the padding prohibits you from triggering a roll. This inability makes this cymbal pad useless for anything more than a crash cymbal.
