Not Bad for the Price

By Edward Zegler

from Shelby Township, Mi

I purchased this product recently in an attempt to add an inexpensive trigger pad to my Alesis DM10 Studio kit. The product arrived in bagged packaging with no instructions. Without the instructions, the product was still extremely simple to mount and hook up. I was initially disappointed in the product as the product is not very sensitive and is also acoustically very loud. When these two things are coupled together the end result is that it takes more force to trigger this pad which also causes the attack on the pad to be even louder. This added force also causes cross-talk on my set. I've since adjusted several of the sensitivity settings on my DM10 and the pad works much better, though not great. For the money, it's a good deal, but if I could do it again I'd probably save up for a Roland pad.

very smart from Pintech!!

By Lalo Herrera

this pad is just amazing. i bought a pair of them just looking to expand my electronic kit for practicing, don't even knowing what to expect for the price, but i got really astonished about the great feel and triggering quality and now i'm bringing them on the gig'!!! they're very easy to position around and they look great in the drumset!! this little monsters have given me the chance to add some colorful strokes to my acoustic performance with as much sounds as i can imagine... just a great idea from Pintech, and a good choice from GC to sell them! i will get a couple more...

Fun addition

By Buffytvs

from Racine, WI

I currently own 1 dingbat and may purchase a second. I use it to trigger cowbell/woodblock sounds in my setup. It has been very responsive and feels better to me in this role than a gum rubber pad. I experienced some minor cross talk issues, but with some tweaks and careful positioning, I was able to correct the problem. Would highly recommend for someone looking for a single trigger for percussion sounds.

Dingbats rule

By moose from 'among the weeds'

i wanted something visually different for my live electronic kit & ended up with a stand-up kit comprising just these pads... NOTHING ELSE! they work wonderfully once the cross-talk issues in the brain have been sorted out (probably caused by the way i've mounted mine) and i will probably never use any other electronic trigger. built very well, robust and i have yet to have a failure... in 6 years of use! nice. totally thumbs up from here!
