  • Great Chair, Inferior Packaging at Mfgr

As reviewed by David Greene on 8/19/2013

Cons: 1.) the plastic bag holding the bolts and washers was placed inside the rocking mechansim which shifted continuously during shipping so that by the time it arrived, half the bolts and washers fell out and since the box was not sealed on all edges, those loose bolts and washers were not in the box. 2.) the instructions in the box were not for the chair purchased and we couldn't tell if we were supposed to pry off the two spanners on the rocking mechanism (we did) nor could we determine which side was the front of the rocking mechanism due to its not matching the picture in the instructions, so we not only had to visit the hardware store to purchase bolts and washers, we had to assemble, disassemble, and reassemble unnecessarily. Pros: 1.) You could have back problems and still play for hours in this chair. Your posture will be perfect for extended playing and, thankfully, the angle of the backrest is closer to 90 degrees than regular chairs. 2.) The cushions are thicker than you think they'll be. 3.) There are only four bolts needed for assembly and when tightened, there is nothing wobbly or loose and the glide mechanism is effortless. This is a five star chair that came with missing bolts and washers, and with assembly instructions for some other chair.

  • Pickin', grinnin', and glidin'

As reviewed by Robert Barr on 5/23/2011

The Pick N Glider Musician's Chair is the most comfortable platform from which to perform that I have ever encountered. I occasionally play at a local venue with a small stage, a relaxed atmosphere, and even more relaxed clientele. I'm tempted to load my Pick N Glider up and take it with me on those nights that I perform. The motion allows for an adequate change of position to prevent fatigue without throwing the guitarist's center of gravity off as is sometimes the case with an armless rocker. There was a time lag between order and receipt for which I was prepared thanks to reading previous reviews and which I was willing to endure. All parts were supplied, and assembly was a snap even for one as inept as I am. The glider was up and gliding in less than five minutes after I removed it from the box. The cushion is thick, soft, and stays put during play. I don't think the price is prohibitive for the value received. I'm happy.

  • Met my expectations

As reviewed by paul on 2/24/2011

I received my chair several weeks after ordering it as it was "back ordered." The chair was easy to assemble even though the hardware kit was short two of the four required washers. The washers are standard hardware items, so it was easy to get two more. I considered many chairs and tested the Glider at Elderlys once or twice. I'm glad I have it, use it every day and would recommend it to other guitarists
