Overview

The Peterson Stomp Classic Strobotuner is a pedal tuner that combines the timeless 'mojo' of the legendary Conn ST-11 Strobotuner with the most desired features in a pedal tuner to date!

Peterson didn't stop there as they also added many exclusive features into the Stomp Classic, such as Peterson's pioneering true-bypass circuitry, a host of new Sweetened Tunings that include support for 7-string guitars, electric violin, and mandolin-family instruments, along with their renowned built-in, fully adjustable, active DI.

Unparalleled note detection and a high-definition, realtime strobe display resolution of 0.1 cent combined with a host of presets allowing for each instrument's individual idiosyncrasies (including string deflection, interval spacing, harmonic nature and range) place the Stomp Classic in the top of its class.

An extremely bright, high-contrast LCD display makes the Stomp Classic an excellent choice for use outdoors or wherever lighting conditions are less than optimal. Integrated pedal board mounting lugs keep the Stomp Classic in place on the road and while in use.

The Stomp Classic is built to last and capable of taking the most grueling punishment while protecting your cables with the included cable guard. We have designed this to be the most roadworthy tuner you can place on your pedal board.

The Stomp Classic's look pays homage to the most iconic tuner of the 1970s, the ST-11 Strobotuner - still used then and now on the stages of some of the most exalted of rock gods!

Peterson Classic Stomp Tuner

By cGil

from Destin, FL

Comments about Peterson VSS-C Stomp Classic Strobotuner Pedal Tuner:

This latest generation tuner from Peterson runs circles around my old Peterson VS-1. It's faster, and the display is far more steady, which, combined with vastly improved note detection circuitry has resulted in extreme accuracy so good that I now need to intonate all my guitars all over again using this new tuner. Best of all, my old eyes can easily see this tuner's display on the floor without my glasses, whether out in the bright sun or dark stage. It's got all the extra whizzbang features I could hope for, such as XLR DI ouput, etc.; and potential for more features thanks to the USB port. The librarian software is not yet available, and while the hardware potential is certainly there, any possibility to use this pedal as a "sound card" in the future is still in the murky prophecy zone and may not happen. Still, as the most extremely accurate pedalboard-friendly tuner available with true-bypass or active monitoring and/or DI-out, this tuner cannot be beat.

My search is over!

By Greylow

Comments about Peterson VSS-C Stomp Classic Strobotuner Pedal Tuner:

I don't know why I've had so much trouble finding a tuner that works for me. I've tried a few! Boss - the TU2 and the 15, Korg, Yamaha...all well reviewed and popular. It wasn't until I tried the Peterson Classic Strobotuner that I found the perfect fit. The display is easy to read and steady. You really feel like you're locking in on the note. I play 12 strings, baritones, and open chord tunings and it services them all. Even the "sweetened" tunings seem to be working - something I had doubts about. Thing's built like a tank. Must weigh 5 lbs. I had a problem with the battery connections in the unit and customer service was right on it. Had a new one in a week. I like these guys. I love this tuner.

The Real Deal

By Steve Tremayne

from Grapevine, TX

Comments about Peterson VSS-C Stomp Classic Strobotuner Pedal Tuner:

When it comes to accuracy in a visual control, this tuner is so far ahead of the game it's almost indescribable. A complex but simple to operate unit, it provides custom tuning capabilities, along with extremely useful preset tuning programs. Being both a musician as well as operating a guitar repair business, my intention is to invest in a second unit for my workbench.

You can tune a guitar, but you can't tune a fish.

By PHIL

from Pocatello, Id

Comments about Peterson VSS-C Stomp Classic Strobotuner Pedal Tuner:

This tuner does everything , the reviews I've read and more. I've used it's big brother for years (CONN STROBOTUNER) and now I can use my new STOMP CLASSIC every where and way I used the older one. I can now tune all my 30 guitars and my lap steel and my bass , any way I want with ease.

Comments about Peterson VSS-C Stomp Classic Strobotuner Pedal Tuner:

I have played for decades. I have used the TU2 for way too long. I always had heard (somewhere) that the strobe tuners were difficult and jumpy and too hard to use with it as accurate as it is. NOTHING could be farther from the truth! The Strobotuner Pedal Tuner is a jewel. It is so easy to use. It is easy to get your guitar in very good tune. I love mine. The TU2s are for loaning or give away... I will purchase at least one more of the Peterson Tuners.

Comments about Peterson VSS-C Stomp Classic Strobotuner Pedal Tuner:

Never did I think a simple tuner could help my playing so much, including first time doing intonation on my guitars. I have eight guitars, so it will pay for itself, and my Guitar smith uses the same one. It's a no brainer like getting it for free, and saving me even more, well, except when my neck is bowed, or fret work, I am paying then. Love it, supper supper quality like no other tuner ever!
