  I was hesitant to purchase such an expensive tuner, but I am glad I did. I'm a fairly novice guitarist, having played for about a year. I used the excuse of my clip-on tuner battery dying to purchase this one since I couldn't find a replacement battery in any of the local stores. I like several things about this tuner... 1) I can put a capo on, press a couple buttons and the tuner will tune the guitar fully understanding which fret is capo'd and displaying the string as though it was not capo'd. In other words, my EADGBE strings still display as EADGBE on the tuner even with the capo on and I can tune the guitar without having to transpose the notes. (Hey, I said I'm a rookie and that is a big deal to me.) 2) It is extremely accurate. I'm sure I'm getting a better tuning out of this than the piezo clip-on I was using before. 3) It includes an attachment that mounts the tuner onto my music stand, so it is always out, accessible and ready to tune my guitar. 4) It takes standard AA batteries and included a plug-in power adapter. I never have to worry about specialized batters or dead batteries again. 5) I haven't even begun to play with alternate tunings, temperaments, or sweeteners yet, but it has them and it looks like easy and fun stuff to play with. It is pricey, but I'm glad I spent the money.

• Amazing Replacement for My Korg MT1200

  As an active musician, I am always trying to take the easy way out when it comes to set ups (guitar techs/ servants/ sherpas do most of the setting up), except for the tuning of the instruments (for reasons stated above). So me and the other two guitarists and our bassist went and each bought one of these, and it was well worth the money. Not only does it account for capos, it also has built in drop tunings of anything you could imagine (though we mainly use 1 of 4 tunings [Drop C, Drop Bb, Drop D, Standard]). If you can stand the ache of spending this much on a tuner, then this is definitely for you. And in my humble opinion, this tuner is definitely worth more than this price.

  After using tuners from Boss, Korg, Planet Waves and various iterations of Line 6 POD Digital tuners over the years, this is by far the most accurate tuner ever! not only that but it is super portable too, which is good for traveling. I had not originally planned on buying a strobe tuner, but I can tell you though it is a tad more expensive, it was totally worth it. If you have the means, I highly suggest you buy one.
