  • Great Tuner, glad I got it

    Let's set the groundwork, this tuner is a clip on (read this as a tuner you need no cords for that will isolate the sound you are trying to tune with minimal problem if not at a rock concert) that allows you the ability to tune to within .001 (.1 cent) of the test tone. Most tuners out there save one or two are between 1/5 and i/10 as accurate (with them tuning to .5 to 1 cent). This wouldn't make a real difference if playing solo, but if there are more than one instrument playing you could be off sufficiently to be readily noticed. This unit comes in a metal protective case as well and is about all you could want or hope for over all.

    I got one of these for Christmas and I have to say it's the best tuner I own.I have at LEAST 5 tuners from various manufacturers Korg (I have 2, a clip on and a plug in) A Boss TU-2, An Onboard Research clip on and a Sonic Research strobe stomp box, NONE of them can really get my 2 acoustics (a larrivee LV-05E and a Martin M-36) right to my ear. This tuner does the job. Set to sweetened tuning it does what the others couldn't. If you have a discriminating ear like I do, you won't be disappointed with this tuner. The only downside is that the nice tin it comes in might not fit in your case so you'll have to carry it in your gig bag. A small inconvenience for the quality of the tuner.

  • Best of the Clip-ons, and it's a Peterson too!

    This is the best clip-on tuner that I've ever used! I'm a Guitar Tech @ GC, and I've tried many of the clip-on tuners to tune acoustics in a noisy environment. And as a tech, I'm so used to strobe tuning...it's far more accurate and easy to use. Plus with all the sweetened temperaments, you can really dial in perfect tuning for a variety of instruments. It's takes a little positioning trial & error to find the best spot where to put it on the headstock sometimes, so experiment a little.
