  • Board is perfect, case is embarrassingly huge

As reviewed by Chris on 4/4/2010

The Pedaltrain PT Pro does exactly what I was hoping it would do - securely hold my tone shaping hunks of metal in a way that let's me forget about the board and just rock. The velcro is amazingly secure - you have to really tug to pull off the effects once they are attached. The angle of the board is also nice - it's subtle, but it's enough to make reaching the back row of effects noticeably easier. My only complaint, and this really isn't a complaint, is that the carrying case is absolutely huge. It's a tank. I'm on the edge of embarrassed when I roll it into a gig. All in, I'm pretty sure it weighs more than my amp. Why, exactly to I have so many effects that I needed a board this big...

  • After experimentation, a real find!

The simplicity of this board, makes it more versatile in that it can become what you want. I have 4 multi effects pedals that are not supported (I burned up another product with a built-in power supply) by other pedalboards. I needed to have a powerstrip to power each of these multi effects boxes. Everything along with their power supplies fits in this pedalboard: Roland GR-20, Zoom Acoustic emulator, Boss AD-3 and Digitec multi effetcts with rocker pedal. Each of these reqires more amps and diverse power chord styles. I simply fastened a 6-plug power strip to the removable pedal rack. The case is very heavy duty (both weight adn construction).

  • A meticulous measure of careful exsactitude.

As reviewed by Matt on 2/12/2011

Happiness is a Pedaltrain board. Before I bought anything by this company, I spent around 3-4 months trying out various brands of boards by numerous companies. In the end, Pedaltrain won out for various reasons. Not only did they offer one of the best inclinations and constructions, the kit comes with a harness for a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power II to be attached underneath which saves you valuable room on your board. The positioning of the power unit is excellent and allows for the power cables to be tucked and bunched underneath the board with little effort and maximum results. Playing live with this board has already given me multiple compliments and the flight ATA case is a godsend. It has an excellent construction, never changes my pedal settings, and has a secondary compartment in it for extra chords / cables / etc. I would recommend this board to anyone that is serious about sound and saving time setting up. The time it saves me (with the 8 pedals and 1 MIDI unit) versus the time I used to spend setting up is about 20-30 minutes per session / gig. Lastly, the look and feel of the board is good. The case has wheels on it which makes getting it around much easier. Things built like a rock too. I can't foresee this board breaking for quite some time, and when it does (if that happens) I will easily be replacing it.
