At my acoustic cafe' gigs I use a few pedals in my set up. Using this pedal board helps set up and tear down time go much faster and easier & the stage is much cleaner too. Why didn't I do this before? I love the bag too. It has room for extra chords & junk.

  • Pedal Train Jr - perfect for my needs

As reviewed by BRIAN HARDY on 12/17/2012

I owned a PedalTrain Nano for a few pedals for my Bass. When I wanted to get a volume pedal, I was stuck with 2 options: buy a mini VP (tried it, but the Volume didn't come on smooth) or buy a bigger Pedal Board. PedalTrain boards are solid, they give you tons of Velcro to stick on the board and on your pedals, provide brackets to attach a power supply (like Voodoo Labs) and even give wire ties to keep the wiring in place. The PT Jr is just the right size for my pedal rig (Ernie Ball VP, Boss TU-3 Tuner, MXR Bass Compressor, LiveWire Direct Box and Sansamp DI 3 channel bass driver). The only thing I wish was that they had a hard case version for this that wasn't ATA, so it wasn't a $70 jump in cost to get a hard case. I almost went with the PT-2 for that reason, but am very happy I didn't since this is the perfect size for me and a PT-2 would be overkill in empty space. The bag is heavily padded, has plenty of room for the board + pedals on top (even the Ernie Ball VP), opens all the way up so you're not sliding the board in, but can place it, and has a pretty big extra pocket (that I store the 1-spot power supply and my two instrument cables in, it's a little snug, but not bad). All in all, great board, great size (for me), and good price. If you need a board this size, you should do it!

  • Pedaltrain JR Review

As reviewed by Kim on 6/23/2010

Pretty straight forward item. Made of durable materials (including the gig bag) - no complaints. I will say, though, that if you plan on mounting a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power II (or something similar) it will require using a drill - so be prepared if you're not-so-handy. Please also note that a lot of Pedaltrain's power source suggestions from their official website are NOT compatible with the mounting brackets (i.e. Dunlop DC Brick, etc.). Worth the $$.
