So it's kind of funny. The pedalboard itself is extremely light weight. The case, is a freaking tank and heavy as crap. Thankfully it's got wheels and handles on both ends as well as on the side. When I get all the pedals I want to put on this board I'm pretty certain it's going to be really heavy, but - I'll know my pedals are safe.. I'll be able to keep my cables in the case with my pedals an there's room for all kinds of stuff in the compartment of the case. This thing turned out to be bigger than I anticipated and my 6 or so pedals aren't going to be taking up very much room - BUT.. when I get all of the pedals I want + expression pedals and a wah pedal most of the space on this board will be taken up, so I don't mind that it looks barren right now. The Velcro adhesive is solid. Applied the Velcro to the board in about 5-10 minutes.. only have one of my pedals at home with me but the hook Velcro stuck to the rubber on my boss pedal. Grind the pedal into the loop Velcro on the board and I can lift the board up with my pedal. Comes off easy too without stealing the Velcro from either object. Can't wait to get the rest of my pedals on it. I really wasn't expecting the flight case to feel so heavy even though it says 30lbs in the description, but, the thing is really of solid construction and worth the extra money. I wouldn't be able to leave my cables connected in the soft case.. Zippers like to break and get stuck and are annoying (I don't even like the zipper on the case for my bass) - the locking pegs on the case are solid and smooth operating. I could access my pedalboard faster than I can access my bass. The pt-2 would've honestly probably served me for a year or two by itself as adding pedals is a long term plan.. but.. I use some pretty big pedals (markbass compressore, ehx big muff pi deluxe, boss rc-3 with dual footswitch. There's a custom synth/octave I want that's huge.. and there will be 1 wah and at least 1 expression pedal on my board as well as a mooger fooger ring modulator. None of the pics on the internet really prepared me for what I was getting.. but I'm not unsatisfied.

  • WORTH IT!

If you've got a lot of expensive or rather delicate pedals, the Hard Case version of the PT-3 is going to be your best bet. The price jump from soft case to hard case is a big one, but it is well justified. Super heavy duty case, you could throw this thing in the bed of a truck with no worries about your pedals arriving safely to your show. The board can fit about 7 Boss or average size pedals crossways, and a volume pedal long-ways with room up top for a mini sized pedal. I currently have 11 pedals on this board.
