The day I ordered this pedalboard from GC it was backordered and then re-backordered 2 more times. Took almost a month to finally get it. Once opened everything looked in order and seemed well-built. After loading it up with 9 pedals using the supplied velcro I found I couldn't close the lid because it has 2 rubber feet mounted just inside the lip of the lid to keep the hinged pedal panels from moving in transit. So I ended up having to move all pedals back up out of the way to make room for the lid to close. While pulling one of the mounted pedals off a lower corner section of the industrial felt ripped away exposing the wood beneath. Upon further inspection I noticed that there was no spray glue on the rest of the felt (except on the very edges) and it just came off. Also, there is no foam in the lid to aid in securing the pedals in transit. They just hang there by the velcro. This board was obviously a rush job to try and fill some backorders. Not worth 200 bucks, not worth the wait. The overall design looks smart but whoever at Pedal Pad was in charge of quality control that day must have been out back burning one when this pedalboard came down the line.
No trouble with this board at all... I recommend you not use the Velcro and find an alternative route... all boards get messed up because of it. I wish there was enough room to store a line 6 pod inside the board. I actually cut holes into the cover shaped like "V"s so i could route cords without damage so they last loner, and the board can fully close. I love my pedal board to death and 65% of my pedals are twin pedals and not many boards can hold all of them. thank you pedal pad...
I was looking for a pedal board made out of plywood with carpet. I just like the look and feel. I was not looking for a board to go on tour. I am a hobbyist and this is exactly what I was looking for. I have some very expensive boutique pedals and they look great. I certainly don't want to wreck them by drilling them, taping them, or putting them on some metal rack were they can get scratched. Some are very collectable and I just wanted the carpet... that's just me. I am also glad I purchased the bigger board. The quality is great; no problem there either.
