Players can use up to five effects simultaneously. When used with the optional Peavey Sanpera foot controller, the possibilities further expand from 12 in-amp presets to 400 programmable presets, with an on-board looper and more. The VYPYR amp also acts as its own computer audio interface, with a built-in studio-quality USB 2.0 output on most models that is recognized by computers as an audio device. The entire six-model VYPYR Series features the easy-to-use Peavey WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) interface.

I have been playing guitar for 30 years, have owned and or used most every amp. This new Peavey amp is just an awesome piece of technology from top to bottom. This amp sounds astounding! it is extremely fun to play, it is very well built, nicely thought out and really, really powerful...I was very surprised just how much I liked this amp. I rate this amp a 9.5, I would have given it a 10 if it had included even a basic foot-switch. The optional foot-switch is pretty pricey. I would also like to have seen an external speaker jack. Fantastic Job Peavey!

I've owned this amp for about four months now. I purchased it at a Guitar Center that is about 45 miles from my home. I brought it home and it did not power on, so I drove back and exchanged it at GC for one that did work (90 miles round trip). (The GC employee even unboxed it for me and plugged it in to be sure it worked. Great customer service!). That replacement one worked great until about 10 days ago. I powered it on to practice, and...nothing, same as the first one that had been replaced. It's under warranty for 5 years if you register with Peavey (which I did), so it was repaired for free. But my options were to either ship it to Peavey for service (in Mississippi) or drive 65 miles to the nearest service location. I opted for the latter. So consider this, if you are going to purchase this amp. It sounds amazing, but I've driven 350 miles so far because of its poor quality. You may want to look into service locations before you buy.

This amp is perfect to practice in a small room or a small home. With this you don't have to worry about disturbing your neighbors, since you can play at amazingly low volumes without killing the tone. The sound of this amp is great for one that is digital. I love the built in distortion along with the many other effect options. It's quite simple to use too. Every time I jam with my friends and band all I have to do is turn it on and press one button to activate my distortion(my settings) The only thing that this amp is missing is an effects loop but it's still a really great product. Especially for the price.
I've been playing guitar for over 25 years, but only for myself, not professionally. I've had several different amps and the stompboxes and effects pedal boards, etc. But with this amp, I get a better sound out of the stock effects then I ever have out of any previous effects pedals I have bought. In fact, I put my collection of pedals up for sale on EBay shortly after buying and playing with this amp. I no longer need them. The amp sounds beautiful to me, and contains everything I would ever need to sound good and do some recording as well (USB connection). In short, it's the best amp I've ever owned so far.
ok first id like to say peavey is the best American product in the world and their amps and guitars are amazing and last forever i have a peavey amp that was passed down from me from a cousin and its almost 15 years old and its still kicking!, but i needed a new amp because i had a line 6 75watt and it was loud!!! very loud i put it half way and i could play gigs just fine, but unfortunately it cuts off by its self after a while of playing it so i needed a new amp, so i looked into the vypyr 75 watt and i even went and played it in the store and it sounded awesome very good sound and the effects were very good!, but once u put the volume to 7 it dident get any louder, i had to play a gig with this amp and u couldn't hear me over the drums i turned it all the way and it dident get any louder then 7 it seems like the sound stops on 7, but i was disappointed in the vypyr 75 watt, if u want something loud go for a line 6 75 watt or higher, or a peavey with tubes,
I really dig this amp. This SOB is LOUD!! The effects are very fun and sound really genuine. I have only had this amp a couple of weeks and have yet to learn all of the effects/settings. Again I say, this thing is LOUD! You won't be disappointed.
Wow, where to begin with this wonderful and affordable amp! I got this amp around May 2009, and it still sounds like I just bought the thing! I play a lot of Old School Metal/Hard Rock (Dream Theater, Metallica, Chickenfoot, etc.) And this amp kicks butt with every single ounce of power and punch it has! And believe me, it gets LOUD!!! The amp itself is 75 watts. The Master Volume goes to 13. (Spinal Tap... This goes to 11, WHO CARES?! This goes to 13!) I couldn't believe my ringing ears when I went to 5! I thought I was at Ozzfest for a brief second! The tone is great too! But don't let that scare you! It's AWESOME! Nice warm tube-like sound. The clean settings are great too! You have to turn it up a bit to hear those channels though. FX are built in. And with the Sanpera II foot pedal (which I'm getting soon!) you have infinite tone combinations! Definetly worth checking out!
This amp sound great right out of the gate. I literally sold my Line 6 Flextone III 212 the day after I got the 75w Vypyr. The 6505 setting is just awesome. The cleans sing, as well. Just about any sound you want. I play in a praise and worship band at church and it covers all the songs nicely. It is a little hard to look at but I De-fanged it and it looks awesome. The fangs are held on with 4 screws that are easily removed(and totally reversible) and it makes it look more like a boutique amp. I liked this amp so much I bought the 60w tube version and love both of them.
when i saw the vypyr 75 it really sounded good. this amp is good for rock metal blues. played at guitar center a week ago and i bought for a good price. hartly peavey your amps really rock and guitar center you guys rock to.
I got this amp for christmas and it broke in january. I got a new one and it also broke about a week ago. This amp has a good sound but i would suggest you not buy it if you dont want to keep exchanging it twice a year.
this is da sickest amp ever so many stompbox effects meaning pedals you don't have to buy what a sick idea from peavey and so many rack effects to add to your ultimate sound
I love this amp. When my old amp broke down I decided to try something different and I tried my friends Line 6 spider 3 half stack and it was alright then I went to guitar center and tried this and was amazed it sounded way way better than the line 6 and it had a ton of effects so its easy to get any tone I need without having a thousand pedals
