Well, this Cab sounds just as good as the Mesa Boogie 4X12. I know my gear, and believe me, this sounds amazing. I paired this with a Peavey 6505+ Head (same as 5150II Head), and the tone was amazing. The bass was tight, yet still definitely there, and the mids cut through like a Butcher knife through butter. In short, this Cab allows lots of volume, and just the right amount of mids, lows, and highs. Get this tone fanatics!!!

As in one other post when I unboxed it there were two casters torn off by someone other than me? However being able to think on the run I just straitend the mounting plate of the casters and the reattached all four with larger diameter wood screws, all fixed. The ValveKing speakers are up to the task of cleans, mids and driving lows. The cabinet would be a lot friendlier if it were switcable for stereo and different ohm settings as the head is ohm switchable. For a cabinet with no bells and whistles, the sound and speaker quality are true Peavey all the way, meaning when you plug it up it is gonna play. I've got a vintage Peavey Classic 100 amp and 4x10 cab thats probably 16 years old and still cooks like it is supposed to. I feel that this new VK cab will more than likely do the same. The main reason for me buying the VK head and cab is the tight sound from high to low and tank like longivity. For me it rates a good overall.

Comments about Peavey ValveKing 412 Guitar Cabinet:

I run this cabinet with my Marshall DSL100H head. And I also have the Marshall 1960 Lead straight cabinet. The two work great together. The two together covers both ends of the high and lows. I was trying to get my money together to get the slant 1960 Lead cabinet but got this instead. I'm very happy with the out come. I would buy this cabinet again. The sound is better than the 6505 cabinet to me. I play a Strat and I get every thing I'm looking for with the two cabinets.

Comments about Peavey ValveKing 412 Guitar Cabinet:

I bought this cab to go with my Marshall DSL 100H head. I already have the Marshall 1960 B cab. I got the Peavey because of the price. The Peavey is just a little clearer I mean just a little. But they sound beautiful together. It was a great choice for me without even knowing it, because I play in gyms, halls, etc. And you can turn this down low and still have that clear sound. Really can't tell the difference between the two. Best cabinet for the money and can handle the power.

      Amazing!

I love this cab! I've had the Peavey Valveking Head now for years, which was paired with a decent cab. I finally got the matching Valveking cab (straight) and I'm blown away. There clarity is impressive, as is the range of the cab. It's flat out amazing. I'm looking forward to pairing it with some new heads as well.

Comments about Peavey ValveKing 412 Guitar Cabinet:

I bought this cab to go with my Valve King and it is a perfect match. It will handle Anything that amp will throw at it! From crystal clean to down and dirty doesn't miss a beat. Casters great don't bind, handles real sturdy, only drawback I've found was the plastic hardware holding your input jacks are fragile. I'm going to replace them with a steel jack plate which will solve the problem. Other than that, great cabinet. Thanks Musicians Friend.

        All around AMAZING

Comments about Peavey ValveKing 412 Guitar Cabinet:

I play this cab with a first edition Krank Rev 1 sitting on top. Absolutely amazing. I had a lot of gigs coming up, and was getting tired of the bland tone my Marshall 1960B was producing. Ran down to my local shop, and they had a brand new Valve King straight cab sitting on the floor. Amazing low's, nice and tight mids, and beautiful clear highs. Sounds better than cabs 2x the price. I'm constantly getting compliments on my rig's tone, and this cab has a lot to do with it. Wouldn't trade it for any other cab! Great quality and an even BETTER price tag!

I originally bought this cab to go along with my vk112 to be able to fill up bigger venues. After the transformer blew in my vk i bought a Peavey 6505+ and this cab goes great with it. The bass is nice and tight not loose or flabby the highs cut through just fine!

I just bought this cab along with my Peavey XXL head and I have to say that this thing is SWEET!! I cranked it up before I bought it and it gets LOUD playing through a Marchall JCM tube head. Overall, this thing is a great cab for the price.. I love mine for the short amount of time that I've had it. :)

Comments about Peavey ValveKing 412 Guitar Cabinet:

For awhile I was using a cheap Ibanez cab. It was alright, but nothing special. Well 2 days before my band had a show, the cabinet blew out. Well I had just gotten paid so I ran to the local guitar shop and looked around. I saw this cabinet in there and just had to buy it. (I'm a big peavey fan) I took it to practice that night and OMG i loved it. It sounded sooo amazing. ind it's LOUD. It has great bottom and gives me the tone I've been looking for. Definitely buy this cabinet. It's great.

Excellent Stageworthy Cab, Not Tour Worthy

        By Mike Craig

        from Albuquerque

Comments about Peavey ValveKing 412 Guitar Cabinet:

I've had this cabinet for almost two years now and have been pretty gentle with it, but have taken it on the road several times. The casters are great and have never bound up or came loose on me and the sound has not deteriorated. However, the plastic piece that fastens the inputs on the back have both broken on me simply by a small tug on the cable
