I got to play this amp with fretted and fretless Peavey basses at the Austin Guitar show earlier this year. It handled the tone of both basses very well. It was also very loud as well. Didn't take much to make it sing. I picked it up to check the weight and it was very manageable for an old guy. Very straight forward controls. Peavey just updated the pictures on their website. Unfortunately, this particular amp was supposed to come out before summer and then got kicked back to early fall and now late fall. It was due Oct.29th but have not seen it yet. I couldn't wait anymore and bought another rig. Not sure what the hold up is but it is very frustrating playing this amp and then waiting almost a whole year for it to come out.

Great power and sound; However I had a problem with some of the wood in the frame. Some of it is not glued together and made a horrible rattling. Once I fixed that, it sounds great. Just be careful with the screws, they strip easily.

Rocks but ...

By RL

from Hudson NH

Comments about Peavey Tour TNT 115 Bass Combo Amp:

I've had this amp for a month now. 600 WTS is it's peak rating not RMS. That can be confusing. The RMS rating is about half of peak at 4 ohms. And the switch peddle doesn't come with it, apparently it's an option. That said the amp sounds great, is very loud and warm and is well worth the low price. I hope they eventually make an 8 OHM extension cabinet styled to go with it because I want to take advantage of the full RMS wattage.

Great amp for the price!

By Ragin' Rog

from Baltimore, MD

Comments about Peavey Tour TNT 115 Bass Combo Amp:

Being the owner of a Markbass cmd 102p 2x10 combo (which cost twice the price), I must say I am very impressed with this combo, and happy I purchased it. It has many features, and is quite powerful. I actually took it to a gig the very same day I bought it, and have no complaints. Solid!! My one complaint is that the buttons are a little flimsy, and you need a pen or small screwdriver to turn the PEAVEY logo light on/off.

Loud & Clean

By Bob

from Sherman, Tx

Comments about Peavey Tour TNT 115 Bass Combo Amp:

The store manager in in Plano, Tx fired this amp up and began shaping the sound not knowing what we liked. Didn't take him long to hit the sweet spot for us all. Clean and loud even on the E string. Took it from the store to the gig and man what an amp. I could defiantly FEEL the music and my bass sounded better than it ever had before.

A lot of bang for your buck

By Tim Straussner

from St.Louis,Mo.

Comments about Peavey Tour TNT 115 Bass Combo Amp:

I've waited 6 months for this amp to come out and I'm glad I did. This amp gives you a lot of bang for the buck. The features give you different sounds and volume levels and it's great for both smaller and larger venues. I especially like the crunch button that gives you that vintage sound effect. It's light enough for one man to carry and it's very compact. This baby has a lot of power where guitars and drums can't drown you out. I highly recommend you to purchase this amp. If you catch a sale, it's even a better deal.

Great amp!

By Ziggy

from Chicago, IL

Comments about Peavey Tour TNT 115 Bass Combo Amp:

I got this amp to replace an ampeg ba115 that couldn't be heard at practice in a small studio. This amp is so much louder plus has a output for another cabinet. Its plenty loud on its own and is clear and can be heard easily when played with drums, guitar and vocals. I like that there is a hidden button on the back to turn off the blue Peavey logo light. The only downside to this amp is that it is heavy. I spent a long time in guitar center trying out different light weight combo amps and could not find one in near this price range that was as loud as this one is.

Great Amp, BUT...

By Johnny

from Jackson, Ms

Comments about Peavey Tour TNT 115 Bass Combo Amp:

This is a great amp, but who ever designed the control panel obviously never play a gig in a dimly lit club. The control knobs are on the top of the amp toward the back. They are chrome octagon knobs with only a very small black line as an indicator. This is all but impossible to see without a good light shining directly on it. Yeah, they look cool, but you can't read them. To make matters worse, the numbers for each control knob are positioned behind the knob as you are looking at it from the front. Again, you can't read them. And, forget using any of the controls if the amp is in it's tilted back position, you can't see them and you can't reach them, especially if you have a 10 lb. Jazz hung on your shoulder. From a performance only stand point, this is a really good amp, it's just very poorly thought out from a real world usage design stand point.

Still a little impressed

By Richard Delacalzada

from Palmdale, cA

Comments about Peavey Tour TNT 115 Bass Combo Amp:

In a previous review I forgot to mention an important aspect of this amp.....power rating. Yes you do see 600w Class D power, but per the manual, 600W is the "power consumption" rating. The POWER OUTPUT rating is actually 300w, 48.9 VRMS/8 OHMS and 450w, 42.4 VRMS/4 OHMS. Minimum load is 4 ohms. External speaker connection should be 8 OHM minimum (labeled on back). I still am impressed the sound this amp puts out (at its output of 300w).
