The Peavey Tour TNT 115 is a 600W bass guitar combo amp with a top loaded, kick-back cabinet design. A single 1/4" input has a bright switch and an active/passive switch. An effects loop, footswitch input, master volume and DDT on/off switch completes the front panel of the Peavey Tour TNT 115. I got to play this amp with fretted and fretless Peavey basses at the Austin Guitar show earlier this year. It handled the tone of both basses very well. It was also very loud as well. Didn't take much to make it sing. I picked it up to check the weight and it was very manageable for an old guy. Very straight forward controls. Peavey just updated the pictures on their website. Unfortunately, this particular amp was supposed to come out before summer and then got kicked back to early fall and now late fall. It was due Oct.29th but have not seen it yet. I couldn't wait anymore and bought another rig. Not sure what the hold up is but it is very frustrating playing this amp and then waiting almost a whole year for it to come out.

Not my big rig; bought this for little jams. Addtion of an extension cab gives this thing a lot more breathing room, of course. Without, it can keep up with a big combo amp and drum-kit if it's pushed, and they hold back. I have a headroom bias, though. Tone is good and fairly transparent.

Consider geometry; Is it for you? Awkward to carry alone but do-able. Easy to carry with a friend. Front heavy. No sensible way to add casters. Can sit on a hand-cart but not as easily as most. Tipped back, amp controls are inacessible. 1) Tip up. 2) Adjust. 3) Tip Back. 4) Evaluate. 5) Repeat. or just leave the thing square. And if you add a cab, it's likely not to stack.

EQ, Compressor, and other controls are good and functional. Hard to determine positions of push buttons -- LEDs would have made a big difference. Watch rear rocker switch to exclude tweeter: it's easily bumped in transport. Nice long electrical cord, but no place to store it on the amp - don't leave it behind.
Got mine on the cheap in Used Condition C 'Good'; broken cabinet. Yet, despite it's violent past it is rock solid with no rattles. Pushbuttons sometimes stick or pop up.
Great value in Condition C. Otherwise, I'd wait a few hundred $ more and go bigger or better.

Comments about Peavey Tour TNT 115 Bass Combo Amp:

I dont think this amp is rated properly. I used it at band rehearsal and had to crank it all the way up to be heard well. I highly doubt that this is 300 watts by itself alone and certainly not 600 with an extension cabinet. The tone quality is good but all the effects on the amp really dont do much. Better for smaller venues.

Comments about Peavey Tour TNT 115 Bass Combo Amp:

Bought this amp to go along with my Peavey 410 Headliner extension cab. Great combination! 200 watts by itself and 300 watts hooked to the Headliner 410 cab. I play rock, country and gospel music and it fills the bill on all. Loud when necessary and always clean, clear tone. Love this amp combination. I recommend this amp and extension set up to anyone. Besides...the great folks at Guitar Center will break their backs to make your buying experience good. They stand behind the sale!!!

Comments about Peavey Tour TNT 115 Bass Combo Amp:

Scratch and dent was defective and this was our 2nd go around. Customer service has not replied to my request for a return label. Very dissapointed. I was assured scratch and dent items were y functional and issues were only cosmetic. Both bass amps received were not fully functional and had major issues.

Comments about Peavey Tour TNT 115 Bass Combo Amp:

Used my new amp for an outdoor gig and it came through brilliantly, with power to spare. We ran it through the PA but cut it because the sounds from the 15" and a 4x10 Ashdown cab was overpowering the two Marshalls in the band -- and I never had the volume above 30 percent! I would think this amp is sufficient for almost all gigs not held in stadiums, arenas or open farm fields....
The sound was full and heavy, great response and I took advantage of the available EQ settings for best effect. While lifting it is not too bad for one person to manage, it's best with two (unless you're young and haven't ruined your back yet).
It's a great value that anyone needing a solid, high-power amp should check out.

Comments about Peavey Tour TNT 115 Bass Combo Amp:

Being a restock item I was worried that it was someones bad deal...
However the packaging was extremely distressed- the amp was in as new condition.
I let it acclimate for the night and tried it out next day.
The amp sounds really good considering I have dead strings on my Peavey Cirrus BXP5 bass.
I was just a little disappointed in the advertised power rating. It is in fact 200 Watts RMS @ 8 Ohms, and 300 Watts RMS @ 4 Ohms which is still very respectable real power.
The built in Compression and the DDT are very decent, and useful features.
Overall I feel I found a bargain that sounds great and meets all my needs :)
