Overview

The Peavey Tour TKO 115 is a 400W bass guitar combo amp with a top loaded, kick-back cabinet design. A single ¼" input has a bright switch and an active/passive switch. EQ is controlled with high and low shelve controls and a 7-band graphic with a defeat switch. An effects loop, footswitch input, master volume, tuner output, and DDT on/off switch completes the front panel. Lightweight Class D power drives the ceramic 15" speaker and high frequency tweeter.

I've had this amp for a little over a week. It is crystal clear, reproduces tones well, and the preamp controls allow you to get a large range of sounds out of the amp. A great deal for the price.
I love the angle back feature and the blue light. The preamp controls, the bright switch, etc. are all wonderful and work well to shape your tone. A lot of different tones can be had from this amp with the controls provided.
The amp seems to be built well. The knobs all have a nice smooth motion to them and seem sturdy (unlike some amps where the knobs feel like they could fall of at any moment), everything is finished well and looks clean, and the blue light is an extra feature that adds a really cool vibe to the amp. As with any amp, though, only time will tell. I will update as time goes on. If this amp is anything like my Dad's peavey that he's had for 15+ years, this number will change to a 10.
Great value at the price.

This amp has been used in a band practice environment in close proximity to the drummer. It has a hard time keeping up with a 90 watt guitar amp. It's muddy at 3/4 volume. No bottom end. Very middy, and not as clear as advertised. Plus it's only 200 Watson RMS, 400 watts peak. It might only be pushing 100 watts clean power. This is an entry level amp. Save your money for a better amp.

Comments about Peavey Tour TKO 115 400W 1x15 Bass Combo Amp:

This has been the best amp i have ever owned. The old one lasted me 2-3 years going through rigorous high volume use and i loved it so much i got a second one since it's on the fritz now. I don't understand the one star review at all since if used correctly it will most certainly be able to compete with a 90W guitar amp. This amp has been able to cut through amps with 100W or more in bands that i have played in and if plugged into DI your adding even more power while saving the amp at the same time. Because of that i think this beats owning an Ampeg SVT because of quality of sound and easy portability for the price of one of those amps. Works great with effects pedals such as the POD line as well.

this amp blew me away its like having a stack all in one package great sound and plenty of power I also like the tilt so when/if u are running it through a mic into house and need to cut down on stage noise in the mix, then just point it toward the ceiling, mic it through the house system and cut down on some of the roar cumming off the stage,( if there is any). great amp!

Comments about Peavey Tour TKO 115 400W 1x15 Bass Combo Amp:

Great Amp. Of course the test of time will tell the whole story. After owning it for a month, it does exactly what I need it to do. Not really a complaint, but if I could add one improvement it would be more of the features of it's more powerful big brother. I own a smaller practice amp that allows you to do a lot more with the tone. Once again, the tone control of this amp is not bad. It's just that more would be nice. All in all , it's a great amp for the money and I would recommend it to anyone looking to perform in a moderate sized venue.

Impressive power for not a lot of money

        By Shawn Turmelle

        from Thornton, NH

Comments about Peavey Tour TKO 115 400W 1x15 Bass Combo Amp:

After my last Peavey bass amp and twin 15" cab survived 30+ years of gigging, despite going through a fire and being completely submerged underwater more than 20 years ago, I just knew I had to check out the Peavey amps. I did check others, but the history of my old amp, combined with the impressive power and modest price of this new Peavey bass amp made the decision easy. As it turned out, this new Peavey rocked the house on its' first outing with me. My band mates loved the punch and clarity and folks in the audience came up to me after the gig, asking what kind of amp I'd been using that night, becuse they heard me louder and clearer than ever before. In over 30 years of gigging as a profession musician, I never got such comments. This amp is a great value, packs plenty of power, has great clarity and is an all around solid performer. In short, it rocks!
