Peavey's Millennium 5 AC BXP bass guitars are well regarded as the essential working player's bass for their solid low end, superb playability, and expert craftsmanship. In fact, pros such as John Campbell (Lamb of God), Josh Sattler (doubleDRIVE) and Marco Mendoza (Ted Nugent, Whitesnake) are avid Millennium players.
Each Millennium 5 AC BXP bass features an agathis body and hard rock maple neck with rosewood fretboard.. An active electronics system, driven by Peavey Cirrus neck and bridge active pickups, provides an extra boost in volume and tone with more expressive sound control. These 21-fret, 34"-scale basses also feature volume, pickup blend, bass, mid, and treble controls, as well as the new Peavey headstock design.

I play a Peavey TL5 bass that I paid big bucks for back in 1986. I have tried several basses since then and always gone back to the TL5. I recently had my backup road bass damaged and decided to replace it. I got a really great deal from Guitar Center on the Peavey Millenium 5 string. After playing it for one gig, I put the TL5 away for a backup to this one! I was blown away by the B string tones which were even all the way down the neck. The EQ controls also let me get a great growl out of the bass that I could never do with the TL5. I think this is the best sounding bass that I have ever owned.
