bulldog

By Roy

Comments about Peavey MAX 126 Bass Practice Combo:

The size is cute, but this has a heck of a lot of output. The Peavy MAX 126 Bass Practice Combo works for me even in the practice room with the drums and Marshall half stacks going for the other musicians. Pretty surprised. Good, clean tone. Very happy :)

PEAVEY MAX126 is a very nice amp!

By wolfman1012

from Newark, OH

Comments about Peavey MAX 126 Bass Practice Combo:

The Peavey Max126 Bass Combo practice amp is a great little practice amp! It sounds great with the trans-tube sound. Has very nice lows and highs. I used it with an Epiphone bass and it made me sound better than I thought I was! Plently loud enough for practice and even small venues (i.e. coffee shops). Plus it is very portable and lightweight for a bass amp. I'd give it a high 8 out of 10. Plus at this price it won't break the bank!

Good for practice

By Alvarez317

from PA

Comments about Peavey MAX 126 Bass Practice Combo:

This amp has great, loud sound for its small size. I live in a small apartment building and I can also play quietly without bothering the neighbors at night without needing to use headphones. Good, clean sound.

Decent amp for killer price

By Mr. Honk

from Owatonna, MN

Comments about Peavey MAX 126 Bass Practice Combo:

I've been pretty impressed with the Peavey. It's not an amp I'd use outside of practice (though for small things I suppose it would work) but hey, that's why it's a practice amp. DEFINITELY worth the price.

Peavey Max126 Bass Practice Combo

By Michael McMurray

from Virginia Beach, VA

Comments about Peavey MAX 126 Bass Practice Combo:

Great little bass amp!! I bought it for my son for Christmas. He is just learning. Boy, was I pleased with my purchase!! This little amp has a very nice sound and plenty of power for its size. I jammed on it and the tonality was very impressive. It is plenty for a beginner but more than that, it is also enough for the serious musician who wants an inexpensive but high quality amp to practice on where-ever they want without having to carry a big, heavy amp around. Great buy! Go get one!!

peavy practice amp

By chris

from grove city, ohio

Comments about Peavey MAX 126 Bass Practice Combo:

If your looking for a small amp for practice, this is it. Ive started out on upright and about a year ago switched to electric and started with this. Its really clear and has a nice tube emulation feature(to make it short, distortion)which adds a nice boost in volume. however if you plan to gig or play in a band with this, dont even think about it. Its far to quiet, but for what it is, its excellent.

Practice Amp

By Rowesc

from Sedro Woolley, WA

Comments about Peavey MAX 126 Bass Practice Combo:

This amp was exactly what I was looking for. It is small, light and convenient to haul out for practice. It probably would not work well for performances, but I haven't tried it anywhere but in my living room.

Nothing Better-- for this price

By Zombie Luciano

from miami, florida

Comments about Peavey MAX 126 Bass Practice Combo:

w-o-w I've had this amp for a good 2 years now and I can't find a CON. This amp is excellent for practicing as a first amp. Left me stunned-- I started off with doubts for the fact that it's a very low price and almost nothing good is cheap. But I am very satified. If you're having doubts like I did before I got it, chill out. VERY worth it.

I hate it.

By JacobPratt

from Springfield, OR

Comments about Peavey MAX 126 Bass Practice Combo:

I bought this after reading the reviews on here about how great it is.. I got it and now I hate it. It might just be the one that I got but if I turn the volume up past 4 it starts getting fuzzy and sounds horrible. I have four basses and tried every one of them on this and the same thing happens every time. I would not recommend this amp.

Boom for Buck

By Mjr.Elric

from Plano, TX

Comments about Peavey MAX 126 Bass Practice Combo:

I picked up one of these about a year ago and have been very surprized and pleased with it ever since. I recently joined the guitar club at school and although it is just a practice amp it can still be heard above the drums when use us the tube simulation feature; it has really good sound quality and although is won't shake the earth it won't empty your bank account either. Over all it is a great little amp and for eighty bucks it has a tiny little price tag.

Decent practice amp for the price

By Mike Woinoski

from New Paltz, NY

Comments about Peavey MAX 126 Bass Practice Combo:

A nice little amp for the price. There's not much bass in the mix, even with the bass EQ on 10. And it distorts easily even at low volumes, especially when playing chords. But it's tiny, and it's cheap. You won't want to gig with it, but it's good enough for practice. Pros: acceptable sound; very small; very cheap Cons: sound is mostly treble and mid-range; 2-band EQ only; distorts easily

Good for beginners

By Somebody Someone

from Indiana

Comments about Peavey MAX 126 Bass Practice Combo:

This amp is pretty fantastic as a beginners amp. The size is perfect for practicing. The settings are alright on it, you may need to play around with it to get the volume right, but all-in-all it is a good first amp.

Amazing

By Natasha

from SF Bay Area, CA

Comments about Peavey MAX 126 Bass Practice Combo:

This was smaller than I expected, but that's probably because I have a pretty large electric guitar amp... That's not a problem at all, it's actually really nice for carrying around. It's my first (bass) amp, so I just got the cheapest I could find since I was spending two-hundred on a bass. It is still really loud and gives off a clean sound. I only plan on using this for practicing. I would definitely recommend this to someone looking for a bass amp.

Great Way to Get Started

By Dave

from New Jersey

Comments about Peavey MAX 126 Bass Practice Combo:

I just started playing bass 4 months ago and bought this amp with a Squier 70's Jazz Bass. This amp is definitely one you should consider buying if you are just getting started and have a low budget like I did. You can get any sound from a heavy, clean sound to a distorted sound. The only problem I have with it is that is not very loud, but that is expected, so if you can, buy one of the more powerful Peavey amps, but if you can't, definitely get this amp.

Great little amp for a great little price!

By Eric

from pennsylvania

Comments about Peavey MAX 126 Bass Practice Combo:

This is a great amp for the price. I had to buy a smaller, easier to move around amp because i am overseas. What a great decision! The tone is awesome and the sound that this thing lets out is enough to play along with two other guitar players. Overall a great amp!

POSITIVELY PEAVEY

By E.Wayne Hodge

from latonia,Ky

Comments about Peavey MAX 126 Bass Practice Combo:

I bought this amp knowing about Peavey quality. I wasn't disappointed! The sound is solid and rich. While the sound levels are made for in home use, it does respond well enough to be heard at band practice if you stay away from mind splitting hammer down metal...it is light and convenient for portable use. whodge
