Overview

The MAX 115 from Peavey packs a lot of punch into a compact, space-saving combo. Peavey's exclusive HyperVent technology pushes bass through specially designed ports that allow the woofer to perform at maximum efficiency. Its 60W of power drives a heavy-duty, custom-designed, 15" Peavey woofer to generate ample volume and punch.

Wide tonal range

Peavey's exclusive, patented TransTube circuitry gives you a choice of 3 distinct voicings--MAX, Vintage, and Modern--for covering a wide range of sounds and music styles. A semi-parametric EQ adds further tone-shaping capability with low, mid, mid shift, and high controls.

An all-purpose amp

Perfect for most gigs, rehearsals, and with its CD input and headphone output, it's a great practice bass amp, too.

So I'm in the store looking at the amps for my new Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass. I ask the rep to get me a cord so I could plug in. Even with all the others playing, this amp cut right under the guitar madness with its nice deep sound. I recommend the Vintage setting for best results. This blew the pricier Ampege away. Nice job Peavy.

This amp has an amazing amount of power behind it. It can easily cope with small gigs by itself. It has a horrible muddy sound though, bad enough it is hard to tell low notes apart. The EQ does nothing to help, and it is very static-prone.

Speechless

By BassBoy12

from Richmond, VA

I have had this amp for about two days and it has left me speechless. For only 60 watts, this thing is actually pretty loud. I cranked this baby all the way up and the whole house shook and even knocked a few things off a nearby table (not joking). It gives off a nice deep tone that is a must for all bass players. I have a Squier standard P bass and these two are the perfect pair. If you want an amp that is durable, loud, and at a decent price, then you absolutely cannot go wrong with this one. From now on, I'm sticking with Peavey. I highly recommend this to anyone who needs a good amp to use at small gigs and practice with. Keep up the good work Peavey.

Very impressed!

By myspace/bigbassbawler

I was looking for a small bass amp for playing acoustic gigs when required. I recently purchased a Michael Kelly Firefly acoustic and when matched with this little amp, the tone blows me away. The rest of the band felt that I should leave my big fender rig at home from now on and play full electric gigs with the same little acoustic rig. I am very impressed!

A good little amp!

By Werewolf67

from Palm Bay, FL

I was looking for an amp with great tone, period. I'm not too worried about playing larger crowds as with a good PA setup you can always mic it. This amp is the PERFECT FIT for what I'm doing. At 60 watts, it's surprisingly powerful, yet keeps a clean tone. Gotta love it!

Amazing!

By thenextcliff

from Riverside, Ca

This amp packs a very nice punch. I was looking for an amp that had a great chest pounding feel to it and i couldnt find it in another amp for less than $200. But i forked out the extra money for a better amp and thats what i got. It has a nice range from low-mid-shift-high controls. and can really keep a nice tone with all controls. It was more money for less power, but the quality is unbelievable

This is the best bass amp I have ever used. It is good amp that you can use for practice and for small gigs. You will get the most out of your bass when you use this powerful amp.

Great Amp for low budget!

By BanginRhythm2023

from Knoxville, TN

This amp presents a great range of sound for the price. I played through a lot of amps that were a little more costly, but none of them sounded any better for the extra cash. For a low budget, this is the amp to buy. Plenty of punch.

Decent Amp

By Mike

from CT

This amp is pretty loud and can drown out my friends marshall stack when its at max. But when my band practices, it gets drowned out by the drums and i cant hear what im playing, otherwise it is a pretty loud amp

lot of amp little price

By Brof

from Asheville, NC

Very pleased thus far. Use it for amplifiying URB for jazz gig. There are more specialized amps on the market but NOT in this price range. Plenty of volume for small to medium show. Havent used peavey since the 80's (hairbands yikes!!) seems like they've improved! only down side is definitely heavy 60 some odd lbs.
