Good Amp

By TheRipley

from South

Well, its a good little twenty watt, perfect for practices. I play a tribute by G&L L2500 through it just fine. My guitarist has a Roland Cube 60. The bass amp keeps up fine with the sixty watt. I would not recomend this for major gigs, unless you use it as a stage monitor. For a twenty watt amp, you get your moneys worth.

Small amp, low volume, high distortion.

By Jakob Z.

from Madison, Florida

I got this amp as a beginner amp when I first started playing bass. Three years later, I've started gigging and even for small venues, this amp just doesn't cut it. At high volumes the sound quality just drops out. It sounds like you have overdrive or distortion on. Also, your not even that much louder at high volumes compared to low volumes, your sound is jut very overdriven. When your a home jamming by yourself, this amp is adequate. Nothing special, but you can get a pretty wide range of tones with the three band EQ. All in all, this amp is a die-hard practice amp that sounds sloppy as soon as you take it out of bedroom range volume.

i was amazed by how it sounds!!! it did what it was suppose to do.I walked into guitar center with not so much cash and was expected to get some cheap used bass amp until this amp caught my attention so i had to plug it in and let me tell you the low end just shook the whole bass section but thats not all the price was amazing!!! i used a dean edge 10a (active) i really havent found any flaws with it

It's pretty good, but..

By Josh

from La Grange, Illinois

It's a pretty good combo amp, and can be pretty loud (Not loud enough to surpass drums though). I play a mix of Rush and Avenged sevenfold usually, and for buyers out there, be aware that if you crank this up, the sound quality drops alot, and makes it sound almost as if you have overdrive on. Not really meant to have a clean sound at such high levels. It's durable and is a great practice amp for personal use though. Worth the cash.

First Combo Amp!!!

By BlackAnkh1865

from Kingston, JA; Atlanta, GA

Well, I have been playing bass for a little while now, and I am quite pleased with this amp. Not Muddy,Very Compact, Powerful(as 20 watts get)...Great for small venues. The only fault found, if you can call it that, was there is not much of a between Modern/Vintage Settings. Overall Nice Cheap Practice Amp...Cheap in price-tag, but not in make-up or performace.

Pretty Good Amp for the price

By Hector G.

from Brownsville, TX

well one day i went to guitar center looking for my first bass amp when i stumbled upon this one. i tried out its abilities with one of the basses there and it was pretty loud. i bought it and its pretty good for practicing and rehearsals but in my opinion, its not cut out for gigs. otherwise, this amp, my first amp, was pretty good and it packs a punch for 20 watts. i recommend this to any bassists out there.

Must Have

By Mike Parie

from Vermont Mountains

I am just starting off after a quarter century break from bass. I purchased an ESP B~50, Ibanez SW15 that things sounded awful, its distortion drove me nuts for the 1 hour. I traded it for this model & love it. It provides you the ability to add your favorite music so you can act like your in the band. For 20 watts I am really impressed. I have yet to hear this distort in any manner, actually the sound is very crisp, bold and sharp for the price of the amp, you must have this.

it sounds.....

By Julian

from Laredo, Texas

ok for such a small amp, i just use it for recording and practice by myself. sounds good at a low volume, but when you crank it up, it sounds as if you have some sort of distortion pedal or something. if you want a amp thats loud, cuts through drums, sounds good at high volume, and will last, get the GK Goldline 500 with its matching cabinet, trust me, it will get the job done
