This amp is awesome and does it all. I use it primarily to play electronic drums through and I got this one because it had the 15" speaker. I knew I needed that for the kick drum and I also use it for my Hammond organ, so I need a lot of bottom for the bass pedal notes. I played drums in a 1200 seat theater for a Broadway show in the orchestra pit and I was just fine for volume, on about half-way to balance with the rest of the orchestra. The only drawback is that it is heavy and usually takes 2 people to navigate stairs or in and out of your vehicle. The wheels and handle make it like an airline travel case, so that helps on flat terrain. It's good for vocals, too, as one of my friends sang through it today at a practice using a wireless headset mic and it sounded great. Good price and fast, free delivery.

I bought this amp less than a year ago. I use it at church every sunday. The first thing I noticed is that there is a humm that you can't get rid of. I have changed cords used a ground lift adapter, but nothing worked. The amp now has a blown tweeter and distorts badly. I am very unhappy with this amp and the quality that is in it.

Have had it forever and will keep it forever

Comments about Peavey KB 4 75W 1x15 3-Channel Keyboard Amplifier:

I've run my keyboard through this using the XLR out to the mains with a 6 piece band for the past 8 years. Yes, it's a heavy rascal but has lasted years and has aged much better than I have.

Comments about Peavey KB 4 75W 1x15 3-Channel Keyboard Amplifier:

I purchased mine several years ago, and it has been great. At first, I had to tweak to get the highs, but I finally got it dialed in, and it rocks. I play a Korg BX3, and this little amp will SCREAM -- and at high volumes, it's crystal clear. I did buy a BBE Sonic Maximizer, and it opened up both the BX3 and the KB4 to new levels. I go directly out of the keyboard to the BBE, then to the amp. On occasion, I run a Peavey 115M (20 years old) as a second speaker giving a stereo split, and the horn on the 115M will really drive the highs. With this setup (stereo) when I kick on the Leslies in the BX3, the room spins like running true stereo rotor speakers. I will ultimately have two KB4s for my rig, and that will be a great setup. I have been a Peavey customer since the early 70's, and it's great to see a company who still has great quality control and cares about taking care of their customers. Hope this helps someone buy a great speaker!

Comments about Peavey KB 4 75W 1x15 3-Channel Keyboard Amplifier:

There just aren't a lot of good keyboard amps out there anymore - you can roll the dice on a Behringer, spend a ton on a Traynor or Yorkville, or go with the old standby, your old friend, the one that never left you stranded on a gig. Peavey.
I had inherited a KB 2 and used it as a small practice amp. I got several positive comments on the sound quality. When it came time to get a new amp for my club/medium large venue gig, I bought a KB4.
The pictures do not do this thing justice in regards to its size. It's very large. They should put something comparable in size next to it in the picture for comparison.. something like a Buick. I would not want anything larger than this amp, and I'm begining to look at the KB 3 with a jealous eye.
On the up side, this is all the amp you'll ever need on a gig, and with the XLR outputs, you can send a signal to the mains and keep the stage volume down!
I know Peavey isn't as glamorous as some of the other brands out there, but they've been around forever, and this amp is way better constructed than most other amps I've found. Screws/bolts are into real anchor nuts, not particle board. Quality drivers, and the amp module is easy to remove should you need to clean the pots (they can get scratchy).
Great amp, but plan for its size.

What a difference from my KC 60!

Comments about Peavey KB 4 75W 1x15 3-Channel Keyboard Amplifier:

Only complaint: Its pretty heavy. I can move it alone alright though.
I really like this amp. I run my Roland Juno DI, all my software synths, and even guitar, bass and mics sometimes, and this thing is great. Can always hear it over my guitar player's 100 watt Marshall half stack. And doesnt distort. Overall very good amp, especially for the price... 10x better than my old Roland.

          Good Amp/Good Price

          By john

          from houston, tx

Comments about Peavey KB 4 75W 1x15 3-Channel Keyboard Amplifier:

I searched through MANY amps when I needed a new keyboard amp, and ended up getting this one. It's not perfect but it is good. It puts out enough sound to play with a pretty loud band. The sound quality is good. (The highs aren't as crisp as I would like, but it has plenty of bass thanks to the 15" and the big cabinet.) The 4 inputs are nice. The XLR in and outs are nice. The handle and wheels are a plus given its' huge size and weight. I would buy one again.

Wanting a clean amp for my keyboard, I bought the KB4. I've tried others, but found it difficult to find something clean and powerful. This one meets my needs and more. It's weight is the only down side.

Comments about Peavey KB 4 75W 1x15 3-Channel Keyboard Amplifier:

When I first laid eyes on this Amp, Delicious! was all that I could think. My mouth actually water and my softy became strong in a way that can only be described as legendary. But after using the KB4 for a few hours I started missing the quality of sound that I normally experience through my Roland KC550/ KC500. Wow was I disappointed. I guess we should either blame this on Roland or thank Roland. You decide. Alls I'm saying is that this isn't a bad amp, but it's not a Roland (the Cadillac of Amps)either.
