I recently purchased a Peavey Grind 4 BXP NTB Bass and I am absolutely in love with this guitar. The tone, sustain, punch and growl are as stunning as the guitars look and feel. After playing this Bass for 15 minutes, I realized why the factory can't keep up with demand! I may never play my old, active electronics bass again...

Bought the Grind late 2010. Plays nice with a good sound thru an Acoustic 100.The wood and the feel/weight at 1st glance were awesome, but with close inspection the pickup holes were rough cut,the holes cut thru the body for the strings are mis-aligned with the saddle/bridge, and the jack plate was not seated properly. If you can overlook the cosmetic things it does play great for the money.

Excellent for non-active!!

By Vinnie the Judge-Guy

from Buffalo, New York

I purchased my 4-String Grind in the Summer of 2010 and have been pounding her on an average of 4 hours a day since. This is NOT an active electronic bass, it's passive. The action is still immaculate, the neck-through design is outstanding, there is very minimal weight on my shoulders during play, the balance is perfect, and I don't have to worry about losing playability to a dead battery. I can reach the 12th frets with ease, even when chording!! If you need boost, I would suggest grabbing a stomp box for that purpose. Altogether, you are receiving a truly beneficial value when purchasing this amazing bass. This bass is worth way more than $380. I've been playing for almost 20 years now and have never had a bass with this low of a price come off of the shelf to my hands and not need adjustments. Excellent for non-active!!

grind

By Darrell

from Seguin TX

I am a beginner bass player I have been playing for 6 months. This bass is a very good looking bass and the action is very nice. The only complaint that I would have is that it does have quite a bit of string rattle but I have been told that a good set of strings should take care of it. I would recommend this product but would also recommend the purchase of a good quality string with this bass

Monster Sound !!

By Rick P.

from Clinton, Indiana

I have been playing for only a year and was looking to upgrade from my Milestone II. Sounds great on my practice amp and growls like a monster on our churchs P.A. system. Awesome lows. Overall sound is superb. Light bass and Good looks. Money well spent.

This is a great bass. it sounds, looks, and plays great. having 24 frets is awsome and lets you hit those high notes with no issues. The neck through design is very very solid. i love this bass it can be used for most all styles of music and is a blast to play.

A bass fit for a king

By John R.

from Durham, CT

I've owned the Peavy Grind Bass (BXP NTB, etc.) for well over 2 years, and I adore it with every fiber of my being. This bass is one of the most finely crafted, musical, and beautiful instruments I've ever played. I would gladly pay four times or more for this bass (and I'm surprised we're not being asked to). If you had any doubt in your mind about whether or not to buy this bass, cast it aside and make the purchase - actually, go ahead and by two so you can keep one over the mantle and amaze future houseguests.

the sweetest bang 4 buck you ll ever EVER find

By Juan

from colorado

tis is a great bass guitar, i mean, besides the stunning looks it is "actually" comfortable and have a great sound, 24 frets, lots of note to play with... its as smooth as silk, nice deep soft sound thanks to th passive dual humbuckers (ok that sounds like an oximoron), that give a loud punch on your notes, and one of the nice features about this bass is the wallet friendly price... this is the bargain of the year people!! so for less than the price of an i phone this nice bass could be yours and thrust me you wouldnt want to miss it (and 4 the record i am not on peaveys payroll ok?)

No Way to Get Better

By Ian Labich

from CT

The first time I saw this bass was on this website and it grabbed my attention right away. I looked at plenty other basses and I couldn't find any that I liked better than this one. The different woods make a great style and the bas is the best sounding one that I have ever played. There was no better bass for the money and everyone I talked to at the store said that this was the best bass for the price. It may sound like a sales pitch but the look in their face gave it away. This is the best bass out there!!!!!

guss what im ganna buy asap

By that guy u dont know

from SA TX

first this bass deserves 5 stars on everything its that good. i was at the guitar center the other day looking for a new bass. the bass i have now is a gretch bass mostly for blues. i needed something full scale with a little more thump. so thay showd me the thunder bird and then this. this thing is amazing and is more than a little thump. the tone the look the feel good for slap and pop. I wasint planing on spinding that much on a bass so i have to put it on layaway then get it in 2 weeks. But its worth more than the price thare selling it for and the wait:(. it even sounds great in the amp i have behringer 180 watt. so i can wait to add this to my other weppins of music. its a passive so no 9v battary. buy this monster you wont regret it.

$1200 bass for $379 !!!!!

By michaelofpetaluma

from petaluma, CA

I play funk, rock, fusion. I love to play slap bass ala Mark King, and rock ala Geddy Lee. This bass rocks !! If it had active pick-ups, then it would be perfect. However, it is, without a doubt, the best bass on the market, dollar for dollar. The look of it, and the neck-thru body make it extra appealling.
