  • Killer Tone, for few bones

    I have had numerous gadgets over the years and this is one of the best sounds Ive had... I use this as a practice amp hooked up to two peavey 10 inch guitar cabs i had laying around. I do not know what kind of speakers they are but this head makes them sing.. The rectified settings and 6505 settings is very good on the distortion side. The chords ring thru out and are not lost inside the head. clean channel tones are awesome chorus is killer. For all you guys buying 300 dollar processors forget it this has better sounds and cost way less. If you have half a brain and read the owners manual you will fall in love with this thing.You have to eq it to your setup guitar,cabs,environment,etc.. Two points of interest on the negative side. One there is no line out just headphone. Two i hooked this head up to a 4x12 cab with Texas heats the sound was kinda of hollow for me not enough watts to drive the speakers im guessing. Solution bought a hosa y cable 1/8th inch one end split into two 1/4 inch now use the headphone out into a 200 watt power amp and now the 4x12 sings. Overall for the money and what your getting freaking phenomenal, loud volumes find a noise gate.I do not have the pedal that gives you access to the looper function yet but am looking forward to a free one from guitar center for giving such a good review.

  • Suprising

    I have way too much fun with this head and its amp modeling. 30watts of power is enough to reach loud practice levels, but be careful as it is loud enough to disturb your neighbors. The effects are plentiful, 11 stomp box and 11 rack effects, and the adjustments seem never ending. I have only owned this product for a month and it operates just as well as the day I plugged it in. The only problem I encountered is the knobs are a little weak and sometimes don't register when you push them. Other than that this thing is one of the most fun pieces of equipment I own. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a fun practice head with plenty of effects.
