With double the processing power, models and effects of competitive modeling amplifiers, the VYPYR dramatically redefines the power and scope of modern guitar amplification. VYPYR amplifiers are based on powerful 32-bit, floating-point SHARC processors that enable highly detailed, accurate modeling as well as vastly enhanced flexibility and features than ever before available in guitar amplification.

Featuring 24 amp channel models--both the clean and distorted channels of 12 popular amps for the first time anywhere--plus 11 editable preamp "stomp box" effects and 11 editable post-amp "rack" effects with dual-parameter control. Players can use up to five effects simultaneously. When used with the optional Peavey Sanpera foot controller, the possibilities further expand from 12 in-amp presets to 400 programmable presets, with an on-board looper and more. The VYPYR also acts as its own computer audio interface, with a built-in studio-quality USB 2.0 output on most models that is recognized by computers as an audio device.   • Good tube tone with many other features

    I bought this amp several months ago and I am sure impressed. There are many bells and whistles to this amp. Plan on looking at the instructional dvd! Once you get the understanding of how to do everything, it all comes into place. I wanted a tube amp for under a certain price and the Viper Tube 60 is what I found to have the best sound and options for the dollar. I have been playing for 22 years and I am impressed with this amp. The clean channels/amp models sound great! It is warm and a pleasure to hear. Press the amp model knob on those clean amp models and you get a good sounding overdrive. If metal is your thing, this amp sounds great for metal as well. My Jackson V sounds awesome through it and my Telecaster sounds incredible. This amp sounds good loud!

  • If you could only have one amp

    Let's start with the best first. The sound this little amp has is amazing. I know everyone is different, but the VT60 has that full, rich tube sound I was looking for. I'm not a bells and whistles kind of guy, but this amp can generate some very cool sounds, and the best part is it's easy. The controls are the most user friendly and intuitive set up I have seen. I'm looking forward to trying it out with the sampera II pedal. I won't argue that you can find a better sounding amp, but your gonna pay thousands for it. Bottom line, for the money you won't find a better sounding amp with as many features. I own a lot Peavey gear, and the quality and craftsmanship on these amps is tops!

  • Excellent Sound and Value...a winner.

    I've owned the 60Tube for a couple of weeks, it replaced a Marshall since the Marshall finally crapped out after 18 years. I couldn't be happier with the Vypyr 60. I play a Les Paul and a Strat and the models available sound excellent. The versatility is great and the tubes add a warmth I couldn't here in the SS version....especially on clean channels. 100% recommended.
