A great sounding bass amp that is lightweight, powerful, and reliable.

The Peavey Tour TNT 115 is a 600W bass guitar combo amp with a top loaded, kick-back cabinet design. A single 1/4" input has a bright switch and an active/passive switch. A pre-gain knob and a contour switch allow for a pre-shape EQ. A "crunch" switch adds a tube like distortion effect. EQ is controlled with high and low shelve controls and a 7-band graphic with a defeat switch. Also included is a one-knob compressor that has a defeat switch. An effects loop, footswitch input, master volume and DDT on/off switch completes the front panel of the Peavey Tour TNT 115. Lightweight Class D power drives the ceramic 15" speaker and high-frequency tweeter.

  • Great amp!

As reviewed by Ziggy on 1/22/2011

I got this amp to replace an ampeg ba115 that couldn't be heard at practice in a small studio. This amp is so much louder plus has a output for another cabinet. Its plenty loud on its own and is clear and can be heard easily when played with drums, guitar and vocals. I like that there is a hidden button on the back to turn off the blue Peavey logo light. The only downside to this amp is that it is heavy. I spent a long time in guitar center trying out different light weight combo amps and could not find one in near this price range that was as loud as this one is.

  • Great Amp, BUT...

As reviewed by Johnny on 8/17/2011

This is a great amp, but who ever designed the control panel obviously never play a gig in a dimly lit club. The control knobs are on the top of the amp toward the back. They are chrome octagon knobs with only a very small black line as an indicator. This is all but impossible to see without a good light shining directly on it. Yeah, they look cool, but you can't read them. To make matters worse, the numbers for each control knob are positioned behind the knob as you are looking at it from the front. Again, you can't read them. And, forget using any of the controls if the amp is in it's tilted back position, you can't see them and you can't reach them, especially if you have a 10 lb. Jazz hung on your shoulder. From a performance only stand point, this is a really good amp, it's just very poorly thought out from a real world usage design stand point.

This thing is one of the most versatile amps I have ever played. There is no doubt I will ever sell or trade up for this. The amp has 4 modes of distortion with a 2 band master EQ as well as a 7 band graphic EQ and with the pickup mode switch for passive and active basses as well as a headphone jack so I can play at 3 in the morning without the neighbors complaining. The beast has a 15" speaker as well as a tweeter that actually preforms above what I expected it to do. With that combo it handles anything from a funk slap/pop bass to a heavy metal death shower. On the back it has extension amp capabilities supplying 300w of power to an 8ohm cab. While the amp is a bit heavy but if you put the top against your chest it is very manageable to move around, but the only problem with this is it messes with the controls but o well. Another bonus about this is it fits perfectly in the back seat of most small cars if you use the cut in the back for the tilt back you can slide it in just right. The amp has held up perfectly I'm not getting any weird sounds out of the amp and the tolex holds up quite well I've knock the amp around and all i got is a little paint transfer onto the amp. The only only design flawi have found is the ventilation intake is quite vulnerable to some liquids but that is
