The Peavey Solo guitar practice amplifier has 12W of power to drive an 8" Blue Marvel speaker.   • good amp for my second time

    this amp is pretty good enough to play at 15W. it has good gain, volume, and the three tones/tunes. i play my Dave Mustaine signature guitar, with this amp, in a very good tunes and its metal. it's fun to play this amp with Dave Mustaine guitar in the metal tunes to enjoy. this amp rock!

    This little amp was perfect for me. I was looking for another amp, one to put in my apartment, and was honestly having a hard time finding one. I chose this one, really over budget more than anything. It really was a good decision. Its very small, very lightwieght. You would be suprised of the sound this little amp could pull. It has more power than you would think. The built-in distortion sounds pretty damn good with my damien 6. Honestly, if your in an appartment where your stuck between the 15W amps, pick this one up. You will not be dissapointed.

    Ive owned this amp for a while and its...well... not good. The amp loooks good and it was very well put together, plus its fairly lightweight and extremely durable. But then i turn on the amp, and thats where it all goes downhill. The clean sounds alright (if you like clean with absolutely no effects), but the overdrive sounds awful! Its more of a dirt, muffled sound than actual overdrive. But thats not the worst part! Its tone makes me want to rip my ears off! If played through several other amp and this amp has without a doubt the worst tone i have ever heard! Decent beginner amp, but once you get a sense of what good tone and distortion sound like youll immediately want to get rid of it. Once i get the money for a better amp ill sell this as soon as possible, or i may just run it over with my car. Whichever comes first.
