I only paid $220.00 for this????

Having played for 20 years I can say that this guitar is not only a GREAT value, it's the best playing guitar I have ever owned, only second to a Peavey Wolfgang Custom that owned a few years ago. I shopped around a lot before making this purchase and I went to quite a few guitar shops trying different makes in the 200 to 300 range. I bought this one at Daddy's Music in Burlington, MA and I had been playing it for the past two weeks as I would go there on my lunch hour from work. It was very much like Wayne's World when I went in there on Friday and the guy at the counter said.."Let me guess, you need a thin pick and a patch cord for that red Peavey over there!" After having gone to two other stores that day, I decided that this guitar was going to be it, the action was unbelievable and the sound was just as surprising! What really suprised me was a call I got from Peavey today...When I bought the guitar it didn't come with a "whammy" bar. It has a Floyd so I was surprised when the guy told me that it didn't come with one in the box, he said that Peavey does that sometimes... Well, when I was registering the guitar online with Peavey they offered a suggestion box, so I offered up my feelings of dissappointment about the guitar not coming with a "whammy" bar. Citing what the guy told me..."Looks like you got a Friday guitar" to insinuate that guitars made by Peavey at the end of the week are not up to the standards of those made earlier in the week. Well, I got a call from Peavey today apologizing for the comments made by the guy at the guitar shop and they assured me that they have the highest standards of quality. That was followed with the guy telling me that a new whammy bar is in the mail on its way to my house. He said that he worked for Gibson for 9 years and he said that Peavey is far and away better than any other company out there when it comes to service and quality... I believe it!!! They now have a life-long advocate of their products and service!

DANG!!!!

I ordered this guitar mostly for the Floyd Rose, but also so I could play heavier music, because my Epiphone LP (which I still love dearly) didn't quite get the job done. I figured that this guitar would require a bit of work because it only cost me $220. I was completely astounded at the amazing quality of this instrument. I ordered the Candy Apple Red guitar, and the color is WAY better in person than on the picture. It a very dark deep red with a bit of metallic-ness to it. The headstock is black, not maple colored.(Which is much better) The Floyd Rose is absolutely flawless once it's set up right and your strings are stretched. The pickups are not that bad, either, although I'm probably going to put a DiMarzio Evo in the Bridge position later on. Overall it's the best $220 guitar you will ever see or use.

Great Action for very little $$$

I actually bought this guitar in the store and not on line. It was sitting on the rack and I was really drawn to play it due to it's appearance. I bought the black with white trim model. As soon as I played it I bought it- the sound and quality from this guitar was awesome for the price. I have been playing for about 35 years and actually played in a few metal bands in the 80s I have owned Jacksons, BCs, and this guitar should be priced higher in the 5-600$ range. The floyd locking tremolo, and even the stock pickups are great. I have been playing for about two weeks and it dosent even go out of tune. If it weren't for the peavey name this would be one popular guitar.

Nice..

I bought this in-store, as my first electric, and ive only had it for a few months, but I've played both it, and my friends Les Paul, and I actually prefer this guitar. It has nice action, my only problem is muting, becuase the way the strings are set up makes it a little bit too sensitive, but that also increases speed. I havent had many problems with it, just routine maintenance (broken strings ect). Overall, a really nice beginner guitar.
