  • good to go

As reviewed by Chris Cox on 9/22/2008

So far this product is good to go . I own the peavey valveking 212 and it rocks . Our band needed a new mixer board , I figured if my amp rocks then I can trust their mixer will be of the same caliber . Sure enough it was , the effects sounded wonderful and the crowd was pleased. I have but one complaint on this product and that the manual tells you nothing of how to properly set up and use the board . All boards are different in certain ways and it would have been helpful for them to put in the information on how to get the best performance from their product for live gigs or recording. I felt like I was in the dark on how to operate it . It just needs a better user manual . Overall we are happy with this mixer and sure you will be too.

  • PEAVEY PV14 MIXER

As reviewed by Johnny Chan on 11/15/2006

Peavey mixers aren't the best ive ever used, but they are decent for jam sessions. They're not something i would use for anything live, except for practice. THey have some nice features like a microphone input for every channel, and treble-bass controls, and sliders. EQ controls and balance conrols. It has a great setup, and it is very accesible, however, its sound quality isn't the greatest. Its a good Mixer, but not the sound quality i expected.

  • Reliable, price-worthy mixer.

As reviewed by Matt665 on 11/3/2006

I find this mixer to be very dependable. I have owned it for about 4 months, and read reviews of others who owned it for longer, and I can say that this mixer is definitely worth the price. I submix drums while recording with this and have been very impressed. The only drawbacks I find are that the effects (which are just basic reverb for the most part) seem to be a bit lacking, but for the price and construction of this mixer, I easily let it slide. The fact that this mixer (for me, on sale) was only $260 was amazing, considering that I looked at many others priced hundreds of dollars higher with less XLR inputs and features. My favorite feature of this mixer would definitely be the fact that it simply seems so well put together. Mine sat in my damp recording room (the walls had damage) for months before I took it into my house, and hasn't showed any signs of moisture damage or anything. Bottom line, for the price, amount of inputs, and simply wonderful construction, I give this mixer 4 stars. Buy it today!
