better than just dj speakers

I own a set of these,I have using them with my band .(southern rock, classic rock, country and blues)I have found these speakers to very reliable in the band situtation. We play 6 nights a week and these things get pounded. I run a cs800 on the tops(peavey 115's)and a qsc 850 on the bottoms(pv118 black widow's) with a rane active crossover.the p.a. is smoking and I am not broke.Djing doesn't push these speakers like live music does. Takes more watts to run it loud when you are live.so here is 2 different prespectives.they work good for dj's and they work great for live.I am off to a gig so everybody I hope this helps you make up your mind about the speakers.if you are just starting out run these full range on tripods with any 500 watt power amp (name brand)and you are in.

Peavey, need I say more?

I got a pair of these when i first started djing 3 years ago. Till this day I have not gotten any other speakers to dj with. They're still running strong, and I couldn't ask for more. Sure there are always better speakers out there if your willing to pay that much money. But these truly stand up to the big boys and have a force ready to be reckoned with.

PEAVEY, YOU MAKE OUR SOUND COMPLETE

WOW!! IS ALL I CAN SAY..... WE HOOKED UP OUR YAMAHA EMX312 POWERED MIXER TO TWO PV115's AND WE'RE NOW A REAL GARAGE BAND. WE KNEW THAT PURCHASING NEW SPEAKERS WOULD HELP, BUT THIS IS CRAZY!!! AND IT DIDNT DRAIN MY BANK ACCOUNT. OUR NEXT PURCHASE IS GOING TO BE THE PV112 MONITORS... I MEAN HOW CAN YOU GO WRONG. I WOULD SUGGEST YOU TRY THESE SPEAKERS BEFORE SPENDING A BUNDLE ON SOMETHING MAYBE LESS DEPENDABLE.FYI, WE CAN ONLY TURN THIS AMP UP HALF WAY OR THE COPS COME.

Peavey... This is whats up

I bought two of these PV115's and... there awesome. These speakers rock all my gigs with clear, crisp sound bridged with my Berhinger PMP2000 mixer. I put drums, vocals, and two guitars through these to equal out the stage sound and they sound amazing. There is one problem in my opinion though, the power handling is only 400 watts... once i hit the 400 watt range the tweeter hangs in there but the sub gets a little muddy. but this just means i need to purchase some subs. but if your looking for some alltogether good sounding speakers i would go with the ones with the dual subs... PV215, 3 way something... but i would definately recomend these to anyone who is looking for cheap, crisp, clear sounding speakers for small 200 people gigs.

can't be beat

ive used these things for outdoor concerts to djing school dances. they've been dropped, jumped off, and pushed to the limit and they still sound amazing. bass is pretty impressive and the high end crystal. cant be beat for the price.
