The black, perforated steel grille and steel corners provide protection and a professional appearance, and the sturdy steel handles allow ease of transport. A top polemount for 1-3/8" stand poles is incorporated and can be connected in parallel for daisy-chaining or to send a full-range signal to a P.A. cabinet. • More Boom for Your Buck

I decided to go with these for price as I had no experience with subs before. Internal crossover handles just fine, great bottom end, and plenty loud. At the medium-sized venues we play, we're normally asked to turn it down. Great value subs.

  • Worth it

As reviewed by Steve Scellick on 6/27/2009

I haven?t worked as a mobile DJ for 7 or 8 years but I still use my system for community events. I will play for family weddings and as well as provide music at some school activities. I Decided that I needed to upgrade my sub. I bought these Peavey subs because I don?t make any money playing anymore so I didn?t want to spend a lot......but I need something that would bang. I run 2 cabs in parallel, bridged from my QSC 1450 and they rocked. I tried them outside and am very very pleased. Don?t have a lot of money but need some bass...these cabs work. You can buy bigger and better but for the money the PV118 is a small workhorse.

  • good sub

As reviewed by SIR DJ on 8/24/2009

I bought two of these subs as a last min resort. One was acting up so I took it back and kept the other. I works great! I have a 1200w amp pushing it about halfway and love the low response. not the best sub ive heard, but for the price, tough to beat. I recommend it highly!
