A neodymium magnet and injection-molded polypropylene cab make Peavey's PR 12 speakers light and strong. They also feature 400W handling; a 12" woofer with 2" voice coil and neodymium magnet, 14XT compression driver, 1.4" titanium diaphragm, 90° x 40° horn, tweeter protection, fail-proof crossover, polemount, and a heavy-duty metal grille.
These speakers are made in the USA.
I use a pair of PR 12's as the mains for my small PA with an XR 8600 power head and they work great and sound great. I had the horns upgraded when I bought them, so never a problem. I also use them as monitors on tripods when I use the big PA and they have never let me down. In my opinion these are an awesome value, but you might want to just go ahead and update the horns right away.
