Perfect bass amp for small gigs and practice.

If you're tired of lugging around heavy gear to small gigs and rehearsals try plugging into the MAX 112. Peavey's exclusive HyperVent system is designed to push bass to the front of the cabinet so the full bass output of the speaker is realized. Its 40W of power drives a heavy-duty, custom-designed, 12" Peavey woofer to generate ample volume for small gigs and rehearsals.

Wide tonal range

Peavey's exclusive, patented TransTube circuitry gives you a choice of 2 distinct voicings--vintage and modern--for covering a wide range of sounds and music styles. A semi-parametric EQ adds further tone-shaping capability with low, mid, mid shift, and high controls.

An all-purpose amp

Perfect for small gigs, rehearsals, and with its CD input and headphone output, it's a great practice bass amp, too.

  • Get This Amp!

As reviewed by Geoff on 1/2/2010

If you are looking for a great sounding practice amp to play along with CDs, MP3s or small jam sessions with friends, consider this amp. After much research, I couldn't find a better bass amp for the money. The sound quality is great with plenty of lows and highs. Don't let the low wattage fool you, this amp can get loud for its size (note: not loud enough for serious gigs, you will need something more substantial). For jamming with your favorite tunes, or practice, this amp is awesome!

  • I love my new Peavey!

As reviewed by Billy Hernandez on 3/5/2009

Thank you for the opportunity of commenting on this product. I'm not an expert player. I'm actually learning to play the bass and for that I needed an amp to practice. I do not know much about amplifiers so I decided to buy the Peavey MAX 112 Bass Combo because of the brand, it looks nice, not expensive, and the free delivery. I've been enjoying it since I received it. It sounds very powerful for such a small unit. I highly recommend this product. I am entirely satisfied and happy with my new Peavey MAX 112 and there is nothing I dislike about it.

  • Excellent amp for size and money

As reviewed by Chris on 1/16/2010

I've owned this amp a few months and it's great! I play in my high school jazz band and I have many times been asked to turn it down after accidentally setting it too high. It sounds great and doesn't distort except at very high levels of gain. The Modern and Vintage settings really are noticeable. I prefer the vintage for jazz and it sounds great. If you're for volume on a budget, get them.
