Part of Peavey's IPR Series, the IPR 3000 Power Amp uses an advanced design that allowed Peavey engineers to dramatically reduce weight while increasing output power, reliability, and thermal efficiency. The rackmount power amp has a resonant switch-mode power supply and a high-speed class D topology that yields supremely high audio resolution and productivity.
The Peavey IPR 3000 features 2 channels with independent, 100Hz crossovers and produces 440W per channel at 8O, or 1,490W per channel at 2O. Peavey's exclusive DDT speaker protection with multipoint clip sampling leads a protection-circuitry suite that also includes DC, Temp, Signal, and Active safeguards, all referenced on the front panel with LED indicators. The power amp also features a variable-speed fan housed in a lightweight aluminum chassis.

When I first held this amp I thought wow is there anything even inside? Then I went to hook up my 2 15" Earthquake subs and was blown away that they played so loud for such a light amp. It runs the my subs very clean and this thing has never heat up at all not even gotten warm after playing music for hours. Compare to my 65 pound PV 2000 this thing is very light to me and has a bit more power to spare. For $400 (now $450) this thing seem like a great deal and be able to save on time now that I don't carry my as much weight around.
One thing though is a week after using it, the amp just went out. The breaker and fuse were fine but it just went out. Luckily GC great service exchange it for me in no time and now has not had problems with the second one. So it was probably a lemon, and it does have 5 year warranty from Peavey just in case anything every happens, which won't.
I started with Peavey CS-800 60# monsters back in 1990 and have been running Peavey ever since. When I heard about the IPR Digital series at only 7 pounds I pre-ordered two of them. When they arrived I accused the salesman that the box was empty. I was wrong. These amps are amazing! Lightweight, clean, reputable, cool blue lights and did I mention lightweight. Easy switching on the back for high, full range and subs. No more cans to plug in. Easy indicator lights on front for power and clipping. My rack has went from 400# to less than 45#. These IPR series is worth every penny. ELEGANT ENTERTAINMENT.
I recieved this amp in june and it really thumps my jbl m-pro 1x18 subs.
