You can see how fabulous it looks, but just wait till you lay your hands on the Peavey Grind Bass 4 BXP NTB Electric Bass Guitar. The 5-piece mahogany/maple neck runs right through the body for supreme resonance and great visual appeal. The passive humbuckers churn out punchy and powerful low end while the scalloped bottom horn makes for effortless high-fret access.
I purchased my 4-String Grind in the Summer of 2010 and have been pounding her on an average of 4 hours a day since. This is NOT an active electronic bass, it's passive. The action is still immaculate, the neck-through design is outstanding, there is very minimal weight on my shoulders during play, the balance is perfect, and I don't have to worry about losing playability to a dead battery. I can reach the 12th frets with ease, even when chording!! If you need boost, I would suggest grabbing a stomp box for that purpose. Altogether, you are receiving a truly beneficial value when purchasing this amazing bass. This bass is worth way more than $380. I've been playing for almost 20 years now and have never had a bass with this low of a price come off of the shelf to my hands and not need adjustments. Excellent for non-active!!
I've owned the Peavy Grind Bass (BXP NTB, etc.) for well over 2 years, and I adore it with every fiber of my being. This bass is one of the most finely crafted, musical, and beautiful instruments I've ever played. I would gladly pay four times or more for this bass (and I'm surprised we're not being asked to). If you had any doubt in your mind about whether or not to buy this bass, cast it aside and make the purchase - actually, go ahead and by two so you can keep one over the mantle and amaze future houseguests.
I've been playing Bass for 34yrs. I own Many Bass's From High End stuff to this, I play may Styles, But have in the last few yrs got into Tapping,Harmonics. And This Bass is My Favorite! We'll 1 of 2 anyway (The other is my Warwick.)But playing Finger style I can play this with Ease! The Construction on this Bass is just as good as most anything out there, The Neck-Thru construction is something you just don't see in this price range! I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I wish the pickup's were Active, Or at least have an active EQ on board. But for this price I will add an Eq. The pickups are a weird size? I was looking at maybe replacing them with sum Quarter Pounders For some Beef, But the measuements are not quite Humbucker size & to big to put Jazz Replacements in, So You Can add an Active Eq in it's Electrics Compartment & that will Make this then PERFECT! Whether your a new Bass player looking to get a Decent Bass for a Decent price Don't go any further! This Bass will impress All with it's Ease of Play and how many High end features your getting for nothing! Sound's good as it is & easy to Add on some of your own Goodies!
