Amazingly versatile tube amp for an amazing price!
This amp is simply astounding. I tried nearly every amp in the whole guitar center and settled on this lil beast right here. The cleans sound great, and go anywhere u want them to, from shrill and thin to bassy and fat. The OD is what caught my attention tho, with a twist of the PRE knob, this sucker can pump out a bluesy crunch, to british overdrive, to flat out metal. Also, the reverb is deep and warm sounding, and the trem is good too though i dont use it much. it's loud too! good jammin and recording amp tho i wouldnt play a gig with it unless they have a PA system. i recommend buying a footswitch if youre going to be doing anythign than just dinkin around in ur room, but ya, all tube, amazing sound, and great OD for an amazing price, can't go wrong.

Made in Mississippi, U.S. of A.
I bought this amp about 9 years ago, not really knowing what I'd gotten. After comparing it to other amps, I realized this had one of the best blues sounds out there. It has deep lows that go great with Strats. You can also rock although you'd be better off using a pedal for distortion, and then you can rock as you wish. The sound is so warm, people comment on how beautiful sounding the playing is, and I quickly point out to the amp. After a while the tweed material will peel off a bit, but that's no biggie. But if you want warm, fat, blues sound, this IS IT!

reliable friend
peaveys are rock solid. They are well built and sound great.I have had boutique amps like boogie and higher end fender amps.I have had lower end amps as well. This amp is worthy of much praise and if you want an affordable alternative and a little bit different sound this is the way to go.Plug into it and turn it up.It takes me back to a time when I just forgot about pedals and just played music. Kills other amps in this price range and it kills some of the overpriced stuff as well.give this amp a try it wont let you down...

Best Value Anywhere
I recently bought this amp without having played it or seen it. I took a chance and I must say that I was not disappointed the slightest bit. This is a marvelously versatile amp. True, it handles blues best of all but I have been able to get many good rock sounds and it has one of the best clean channels I have ever played on. I haven't explored the tremo function on it much because I have little use for it. Bottom line is this amp has a wonderful clean sound, blues tone to die for, tubes break up perfectly even at relatively low volumes, sounds great with my Buddy Guy strat and my 335, screaming highs, a tight, punchy middle and bottom and alot less coin than inferior sounding tube combos. If I had to do it all over, I would still buy this amp over the number of fenders I tried, including the Bassman and Deville reissues.

Never underestimate Peavey
This amp would be my favorite out of all of the custom classic series, but all of them are still awesome amps. Whatever genre you play, this amp does it, very versatile, very jazzy cleans, very bluesy overdriven tones. I've played on all of them, devilles, blues juniors, twin reverb, vox, there's no reason to spend a fortune when you can buy an amp better than a lot of higher end amps at an amazing deal. I'm not much of a stompbox or an effect board fan but tube amps brings out the best of their sound, this one definately does. So what are you waiting for? Get you one of these!
