Peavey redesigned their renowned Classic Series guitar amplifiers, and the new Classic 30 Head features four EL84s and three 12AX7s, footswitchable reverb and 3-band EQ. The Classic 30 Head is a perfect match for the Classic 212 Cabinet.
I have the Classic 30 head with the matched Classic 212 Cab and it is absolutley unreal! This thing is ear deafining loud. The cleans are perfect and you can dial in any distortion sound you want. No tube rattle that the combo version has. I play this with an American Strat and a Gibson Les Paul Studio and it makes these guitars scream. I could not be happier with my purchase. You owe it to yourself to try out Peavey Classic 30 head and matching cab.

The classic 30 peavy combo has always been a standard with me.I run two at a time, and keep backups as well.It`s unfortunate that you can no longer find the best tube amp made.This is the kind of engineering leadership that looses old time, reliable,return customers like me.
