This Peavey half-stack includes the 6505 Plus 120W guitar amp head and 6505 4x12 300W guitar speaker cabinet.

The Peavey 6505 Plus 120W Guitar Amp Head is great for hardcore or metal bands. 6 - 12AX7s in the preamp add up to even more terrifying punch and mind-rattling gain. Includes footswitchable lead/rhythm channel select, effects loop, 3-band EQ, plus resonance and presence controls on each channel. Rhythm channel includes pre/post gain controls and bright/crunch switches. Lead channel includes pre/post gain controls only. Preamp output. Footswitch included. 4, 8, or 16 ohms.

The 6505 Series guitar amplifiers are named in celebration of Peavey's first 40 years, (1965-2005.) While known as the 5150 Series, these amps became the undisputed go-to guitar amps for scores of rock, hardcore, and metal bands because of their raw tone, relentless power, and road-proven reliability.

The Peavey 6505 4x12 300W Guitar Cabinet has 4 - 12" Sheffield 1200 speakers loaded in a biplanar-aligned, infinite baffle, 300W closed-back cab. This Peavey speaker is constructed from high-density plywood. It has recessed handles and heavy-duty casters. 1/4" and XLR jacks. 16 ohms.

  • KIller Amp!!

    I had this amp for a couple years, sold it thinking that Mesa had the answer for my tone. I like my Mesa's, I have a Road King and a Mark 5, but I miss my 6505. It just has something that the others lack. The Mesa's do have better cleans, but for raw tone and saturation, they don't come close to the 6505. You can get some good blues tones out of the clean channel but if you're into metal, nothing touches the 6505.

  • BEAST! This is a great half stack!

    I own two 6505 Plus Amps, one Peavey 6505 Straight Cabinet and one Mesa Boogie Straight Cabinet and play Schecter guitars with a medium stocked pedal board with the basics. All together this combination melts faces! I play heavy rock music with hints of metal and hints of big hooks and I get exactly the raw tones needed to fill up the venue I am playing or the studio I am recording in. I can go on and on about the tones and make up some really good musical language to describe this beast, but I don't have to. Just buy one, crank it up and have some fun!

  • Mind Blowing!!!

    I just bought this bad boy from guitar center a week ago, and it ROCKS. This amp head is a major beast, I can only turn it up to 4 before drowning out the drummer! It's not only loud, but it sounds incredible! The distortion will melt your face off, and the sustain is to die for. My arpegios, and sweeps sounded ten times better than on my KRANK KRANKENSTEIN!!! Overall BUY THIS AMP!!!
