This pedal is pound 4 pound the best on the market for the price. Sure you could get the DW 9000 series, but why blow $500 on a pedal. I bought an iron cobra dbp about 8 years ago and swore by it. however, I sold my kit (including my pedal) a few years back and just bought another kit 2years ago. guitar center didnt have any new iron cobras in stock when i got the money to upgrade my pedal so I tried the pearl eliminator. AWESOME pedal!!! with all the adjustment options you can set this pedal to any tension, foot pedal height, change out the cams for differents styles of play and if you actually look at it you can turn it into two seperate pedals if you want to step up to a true double bass kit. I highly recommend this dbp to any drummer, whether you are a beginner or 40 year pro.

I bought this pedal in March 2011 and have been playing on it for about 8 months now. I personally think this pedal sucks and am suffering from buyers remorse. I own Pearl drums and have no beef with those, but the pedal has issues. The multi-cam system is cute but I found myself looking down at a blue cam that had fallen off during several gigs (Always the left side and always blue??). The top inside chain link on that pedal also fell off during a different gig. Not Cool! For the price, you would think parts would stay on. Now I find myself looking for a DW which I should have bought in the first place. I have spent all this time adjusting and readjusting to get that certain weight and feel, but have not found it yet. After playing many kits and back line with DW's I have never been disappointed or concerned with feel or quality. I would highly suggest looking elsewhere before laying down a serious chunk of cash for this pedal...:(

Comments about Pearl P-2002C PowerShifter Eliminator Double Pedal:

I've used several double pedals over the years and I keep going back to pearl. I've had this one for over a year now and still no trouble it doesnt sqeak make any strange noises nad takes a beating like you wouldnt believe. As for adjustment if you cant get the pedal where you like it theres a problem it comes with different cams which allow for quick adjustment just push a button and put on the new cam you cant get easyer than that and you can also adjust the foot setting with a turn of the drum key and by the way there are two of them that come with it. For the price this is a real value. Buy this little sweetie you'll be glad you did.

amazing pedal

Comments about Pearl P-2002C PowerShifter Eliminator Double Pedal:

This pedal is right up in the top quality pedals. the number of options (cams, adjustments) makes this like 6 pedals in one. My only complaint is the havy beater, which makes it harder to control the strokes. However overall this pedal is among the best.

Comments about Pearl P-2002C PowerShifter Eliminator Double Pedal:

Well, I got a new DW drumset for my B-day and they got me the Pearl Powershifter Eliminator, and tell you the truth, it DOES eliminate all of the other pedals, this pedal comes with a nice case, and mine came with 4 other powershifters! Great and Amazing Deal!, well if you are an amature or pro, this is deffinently worth the price, but if your a begginer, then I would recomend a cheap pulse or pdp, but thats just my opinion, enjoy!

KICK IT !!!!

By Mississippi Kid

Comments about Pearl P-2002C PowerShifter Eliminator Double Pedal:

I have had a cheap "comes with the drum set" pedal for some time now and rally wanted to upgrade. I bought this and I can say I am through buying pedals. This has great action to start with, but a few minor adjustments and I instantly felt very comfortable with it. It's like an extention of my foot. This is a wonderful pedal. Adjustments are quick and easy to perform and comes with all the tools you will need. Buy this pedal, you can't go wrong.

Best Pedal on the Market!

By Working Musician

from rochester ny

Comments about Pearl P-2002C PowerShifter Eliminator Double Pedal:

I've been a working Musician and Sound man for 8 years, and I've played the drums my whole life. I've owned, gigged, and recorded with dw 9002's, dw 5002's, tama iron cobra's, yamaha direct drive's, axis A double longboard classic black's, and the pearl demon drive double pedal. I've been using axis pedals for the past 4 years, after breaking my first 3 pedals, I decided to trade my 4th axis for the pearl powershifter eliminator double pedal and it tops every single pedal I just mentioned by miles. I am currently using the blue cams with the springs all the way tight and the beater on the hard attack felt dead even with each other half way back and the power shifter all the way back. This setting tops every pedal on the market that I have played its also much much easier to adjust and customize. I highly recomend this pedal to all serious drummers!

Sick pedal

By zimsauce

from Savage/Duluth MN

Comments about Pearl P-2002C PowerShifter Eliminator Double Pedal:

I bought this pedal about two years ago because my buddy had it and I really liked the adjustability of the thing. Now two years latter im more in love with it than ever, with a little experimenting you can really get these things going just they way you like them. The only issues I have are the beaters could be smaller but thats reallya preference matter and the left pedal has started to squeek. other than that they are a high quality bit of hardware that I'm completely satisfied with. If your considering buying these dont hesitate, you wont be sorry!

Comments about Pearl P-2002C PowerShifter Eliminator Double Pedal:

Here's the thing with pedals....everybody's got an opinion on what's best. Iv played every pedal on the market and this is only my view. This pedal is amazing for both single and double pedal players. DW has an awesome setup with both the 5000/9000 series and Yamaha/Axis both have super fast pedals which are great for blast beats and yada yada. Iron Cobras look cool but don't offer the quality that Pearl has. This pedal sets itself apart from the rest by having 4 separate settings. It comes with 4 different cams, which allow different speed based on how fast your feet are. So, this means that if this is your first or last double pedal, you can adjust it to metal, rock, jazz, punk, Latin with ease. Once your feet adapt, you can change cams without having to invest another $500 to get a "faster" pedal. The beater also has 4 sides so there's no excuse why this pedal is bad at all. If there are negative reviews it's probly bc people don't have the patience to read the directions. This is a good investment!

    AMAZING (Need I say more?)

    By yamahaartist07

Comments about Pearl P-2002C PowerShifter Eliminator Double Pedal:

This is the best double pedal I have ever purchased. I'm not a rich guy but I have a YAMAHA Flying Dragon Direct Drive Double Pedal, TAMA Iron Cobra, DW 9000 and 5000 series double pedals. The PEARL Eliminator is the best ever. With the endless tweaking you can do with it, I've been able to get my double pedal speed faster than Joey Jordison. I know it sounds impossible for a 13 year old but it happened. If you want to have speed, stability, and confidence in what your doing, purchase this pedal. PEARL served up another great product once again. I have a YAMAHA set with pearl hardware.

Comments about Pearl P-2002C PowerShifter Eliminator Double Pedal:

When i first bought these pedals i did not know much about them. The springs were all tight and i did not like the pedals. But after about 5 mins of messing around with them they were the best pedals ever. I have played with so many different pedals including the speed cobras, and demon drives and i can honestly say that these are just as good and not as much money.

Great product. I have used the single pedal version of this pedal for years with great satisfaction. The cam system is great but takes some playing around with to find the most suitable. It is worth the time and once adjusted and set, this double pedal feels like a part of me.

Comments about Pearl P-2002C PowerShifter Eliminator Double Pedal:

I own the Eliminator P2002 Chain drive, and I absolutely LOVE this kick pedal! The features of this pedal truly make it unique. Powershifter lets you move the footboard forward or back chaning the angle of the chain, and each position feels completely different. The different cams change the way the beater accelerates and hits the head. I play with the Powershifter all the way back and red cams with the tension as high as possible. This is by far one of the finest pedals I have ever played. It is exceeded only, in my opinion by the DW9000 Series pedals. I would put this pedal equal with Iron Cobras and 7000's. Highly reccommended. All adjustments are easy and secure, pedal is easy to play and acclimate to. Very durable, quiet, smooth, and just plain pretty to look at.

Comments about Pearl P-2002C PowerShifter Eliminator Double Pedal:

I have tried a number of different double bass pedals in the stores and at friends houses but I am staying with the Pearl Eliminator. I think this is one of the best double bass pedals out for under 300 dollars. There are so many different ways to customize this pedal to fit whatever preference you have. I have had this pedal for about 2 years now and it is still in perfect condition. It does squeak a little but thats nothing that some grease or lube won't fix. This pedal is very smooth and allows you do really get the double bass pumping. A great product of Pearl and I am happy to own one.

Its so good why not steal one.

      By Robert Matthew Kelley

      from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania

Comments about Pearl P-2002C PowerShifter Eliminator Double Pedal:

About a year ago I purchaesed this pedal from Musicians Friend. I knew that I would be getting a quality product from a company that has been providing drummers with great equiptment for many years. I got the pedal and with all the different settings you can set the pedal up for it took me almost three weeks to go through them all to fine one that was right for me. The pedal was smooth, quick, and quiet which are all good things to have in a pedal. Never the less I played with two different bands over the time I had this pedal. Everywhere id play people would comment my pedal. Until somebody like my pedal so much they decided to steal it right out of the a back room at a show one night. So my investment of around $240 dollars was gone. However the pedal would slide and the arm would rub on my kick drum rim and eat away at the metal. Also I had a few lugs snap, but that was due to overtightening. They also provided the tools for which you could change out the many parts for the pedal and included individual cases for each pedals parts, along with the pedals carrying case. This is a great pedal for any drummer. A great investment, in a sound product.

Comments about Pearl P-2002C PowerShifter Eliminator Double Pedal:

Although this pedal is a little on the high side for price it is so worth it. You get what you pay for and much more! I just switched over to this pedal after playing with a DW 9000. This pedal is capable of fitting any drummers style. You can literally adjust EVERYTHING on this pedal. It also comes with a spiffy case that protects it when traveling on the road. I would never go back to a different pedal after playing this, it is better then any dw pedal in my opinion and i've played the 9000, 7000, and 5000. BUY IT!

      These Pedals are Insane!

      By BlackDahlia903

      from Pennsylvania

Comments about Pearl P-2002C PowerShifter Eliminator Double Pedal:

I'm not the kind of person who usually writes product reviews but these pedals motivated me to do so. I returned my DW4000s and exchanged them for these and all I can say is wow! These pedals are lightyears ahead of those DWs! They're crazy fast, they're easy to adjust and the cam system is great. I almost didn't buy these pedals because of the cost (I'm primarily a guitarist, not a drummer so I had a hard time justifying shelling out the dough for my secondary instrument)but I'm so glad that I did. They're definitelty worth the price tag.
