This pedal is pound 4 pound the best on the market for the price. Sure you could get the DW 9000 series, but why blow $500 on a pedal. I bought an iron cobra dbp about 8 years ago and swore by it. however, I sold my kit (including my pedal) a few years back and just bought another kit 2years ago. guitar center didnt have any new iron cobras in stock when i got the money to upgrade my pedal so I tried the pearl eliminator. AWESOME pedal!!! with all the adjustment options you can set this pedal to any tension, foot pedal height, change out the cams for differents styles of play and if you actually look at it you can turn it into two seperate pedals if you want to step up to a true double bass kit. I highly recommend this dbp to any drummer, whether you are a beginner or 40 year pro.

I bought this pedal in March 2011 and have been playing on it for about 8 months now. I personally think this pedal sucks and am suffering from buyers remorse. I own Pearl drums and have no beef with those, but the pedal has issues. The multi-cam system is cute but I found myself looking down at a blue cam that had fallen off during several gigs (Always the left side and always blue??). The top inside chain link on that pedal also fell off during a different gig. Not Cool! For the price, you would think parts would stay on. Now I find myself looking for a DW which I should have bought in the first place. I have spent all this time adjusting and readjusting to get that certain weight and feel, but have not found it yet. After playing many kits and back line with DW's I have never been disappointed or concerned with feel or quality. I would highly suggest looking elsewhere before laying down a serious chunk of cash for this pedal...:(

The best pedals ever

By Andrew Renteria

from Clovis, California

When i first bought these pedals i did not know much about them. The springs were all tight and i did not like the pedals. But after about 5 mins of messing around with them they were the best pedals ever. I have played with so many different pedals including the speed cobras, and demon drives and i can honestly say that these are just as good and not as much money.

Great feel but...

By David Wescott

from Duryea, PA

I bought this pedal to replace a DW5002 because I don't care for the accelerator cam. The pedal felt solid and felt great but after about an hour and a half of playing, it started to squeak really loudly. If it started after a few months I would have tried to oil it but after a little more than an hour of use I packed it up and took it back to GC.

Great Overall Pedal

By Austin

from Warwick, Rhode Island

This pedal is the real deal. Completely adjustable, easy to assemble, fast to dis-assemble (for gigs), and completely custom to your playing style. If you're not really looking to play anything but Metal on these pedals, i would look elsewhere. They are great for Rock and just messing around and playings solos with quadruplets thrown in here and there, or just casual metal drumming and techniques. One of the best pedals on the market without a doubt.

great pedal for about 6 months.

By mike

from sturgis, michigan

well i bout the pedal in april 2010, its now september 2010 and all im having is problems with the slave pedal. when i first bout the pedal it worked great, for about 4 months but if your playing tons of double bass i DO NOT RECOMEND THIS PEDAL. 1. the bearings wear out extremly fast. 2.the ball joints seem to wear extremly fast aslo. i would go back to my iron cobra or upgrade to an axis or trick pedal if anything.

Pearl P-2002C PowerShifter Eliminator Double Pedal

By Ben Anderson

from Monterey, CA

The Pearl P-2002C PowerShifter Eliminator Double Pedal allows me to play without having to think about foot technique. The momentum it carries out is due to its sensitive touch, thus making it great for any volume at any speed. I play all styles of music, and this particular pedal certainly allows me to do the job. I think this product is a great purchase and will satisfy any drummer looking for ultimate domination in modern day's music.

Very Disappointed

By Daniel

from Walnutport, PA

I purchased this pedal over internet and just received it today. I am very disappointed and regret buying it. I've been using an Iron Cobra single for the past 10 years. The Cobra is a much better made pedal mechanically and in terms of smoothness and feel, there is just no comparison. The Cobra is vastly superior. My DW 3000 double, which I used for about 2 years, was also a better pedal. This pedal is over-priced, over-hyped and being exchanged for an Iron Cobra.

These Pedals are Insane!

By BlackDahlia903

from Pennsylvania

I'm not the kind of person who usually writes product reviews but these pedals motivated me to do so. I returned my DW4000s and exchanged them for these and all I can say is wow! These pedals are lightyears ahead of those DWs! They're crazy fast, they're easy to adjust and the cam system is great. I almost didn't buy these pedals because of the cost (I'm primarily a guitarist, not a drummer so I had a hard time justifying shelling out the dough for my secondary instrument)but I'm so glad that I did. They're definitelty worth the price tag.
