Just like the title says, I had to come back to these pedals. I played on these for about 5 years and was convinced by a friend to try the DW5000. Worst pedal I have ever owned. The Eliminator is smooth powerful and just an all around perfect pedal. If you have any doubts dont. This i the pedal for you.
The Pearl 2002B Eliminator Double Pedals are well balanced and have a quick, precise, responsive attack with excellent rebound characteristics. The beater rests superbly away from the head between strokes with no unwanted overtones. The sensitivity and motion of the pedals correspond exactly with that of foot movement, thus creating a pendulum at the ankle for unparalleled range of motion while maintaining close contact with the heal and/or plantar surfaces. Well suited for all music styles, these attributes combine together and allow the player to execute the most intricate patterns with speed and controlled dynamics. Quality of construction is innovative, rock solid state-of-the-art. Look no further; the Pearl Eliminator Double Pedals will unleash your hidden potential for a lifetime.
this pedal is amazing! better than the iron cobra in my opinion. this pedal is insanely responsive, and is made very sturdy. i have played many pedals and this is by far my favorite. this pedal is also very customizable.
I bought this pedal about a year ago and decided to give it a full year of testing before posting a review. This pedal is great! so far it has held up and been extremely durable! both pedals can be tweaked in many ways to adapt to anyones personal preferances. Currently i have the heel plates back as far as they go and the red cams on there. They come in a little padded carrying case, which has a few random accesories and allen wrenches along with the extra cams. It looks kinda like a little cary on suicase. I have truly been able to take my drumming to the next level having the double pedal and have begun to develop some excellent technique. It took me about 4 or 5 months to decently learn double bass, but now i can play proficiently enough to drum along with some of the harder music i listen too. I would definitly recoment these pedals to anyone who is looking to upgrade from what they have, or is thinkging about playing double base. Dont waste your money buying a cheaper pedal, because as you progress you will want another one. I am completely satisfied with this pedal and think its a good deal especially if you can snag free shipping ordering it offline.
I love this pedal! Its interchangeable cams system makes it feel like four different pedals in one. Black cams are like a standard pedal, white cams have a full, powerful stroke, blue cams have a short, excelled stroke, and red cams have a very fast, punchy stroke. It took me a while to get used to, but once I did, I resolved to never settle for less. Don't flip a coin for this pedal, you'll love it.
ive been playing drums for a while now and ive never seen a pedal this good. i spent lots of time looking for a pedal and that time payed off when i bought this one. one thing that makes this pedal cool is that it has like 6 different cams to adjust the sensativity and its not even hard to do. Plus ive owned it for 2 years now and haven't had a sigle problem with it.Overall this pedal is awsome for any style of music and is a great buy!
I went to my local GuitarCenter because my SD9K was defective. (Don't buy the Simmons SD9K because I got the Roland TD-9 and the module and everything else blows away the Simmons. Even though it's a little extra, it's worth it.) So I needed new pedals because I had Pearl 900 doubles and they were okay but I wanted good pedals that would last me a long time. I tried out the Iron Cobras and they were okay but they were too weighted. I just couldn't get the right feel out of them. As customizable as they are, I was just gonna buy it and take it home and mess around with the customization but I asked the clerk if I could try out the Eliminators on the Roland TD-20. I am glad I did because I immediately fell in love with them. They aren't too heavy and aren't too light. I highly recommend this pedal to semi-pros and pros.
This pedal is sweet!! I got it for my 14th birthday and im 16 now and it hasn't lost any durability or smoothness. I fell in love with it the first time I played it. I havn't tried any other pedal though but I don' think I will. This pedal has an arsenal of adjustments so it can fit any style of playing. Overall this is up there with the best
As soon as I hooked the pedal up to my kick drum, I knew that I wouldn't need another double pedal. I used to use a DW 5000 and that doesn't even come close to this pedal. I believe it even beats out the Axis Longboards. The things I love the most is the changeable cams and the changeable footboards.... It may look like a heavy pedal (which it is), but when you start playing it it's the complete opposite. It is a little pricey, but it is definitely worth the pedal.
This is my first double-pedal, and I have a Tama RockStar 5-piece set with all evans heads. I absolutely love this pedal! You can change the way it feels by changing the powershifters for a heavier or lighter feel, or by adjusting the springs, or by shifting the heads back or turning them around! I usually play the really fast kinds. I'd suggest to start out with heel-down and then work your way to heel-up. This is a great buy, it's worth the money, and adjusts to the exact way that you'd like it to feel! Read the manual! It'll help!
