The Pearl ICON (Independent Control) DR-503C drum rack is the curved version of Pearl's popular DR-503. The rack's curved bars allow closer drum component positioning and present a more rounded feel and visual appearance. The Pearl DR-503C offers flexible height adjustments with 100% slip-proof square tubing. Each bar on Pearl's ICON drum hardware system adjusts infinitely and independently to any position along its 34" tall legs which accommodate bass drums up to 28" in diameter. "Set and forget" memory clamps allow quick and repeatable set-ups without tools.
The Pearl DR-503C rack system is equipped with a front and 2 side sections with (4) PCX-100 clamps and (2) PCL-100 Pipe Clamps that attach to the tops of the vertical legs to accept tom holders or cymbal holders. All rack bars are 36" long for compact storage and portability.

I got my rack used but well taken care of.I upgraded from a DR80 rack and this rack is just amazing. I like how I can adjust the height of each side to where I need it and how much this rack will hold.It made my kit look so much better then with the DR80 rack.If you want a rack that will last years, look no further. The only thing I don't like is that finding the 18" extension bars were not easy.I did locate them and will be ordering that soon.I have a fairly large kit and need the extra space.
After 20 years of using the same rack from another company, I was trying to find parts that would be compatible so that I could piece it out part-by-part. I really didn't want to go to the expense of buying a new rack. I soon realized that my old rack was not compatible with anything on today's market. The sales expert, Jake, showed it to me and we discussed how it could replace what I currently have. I then reluctantly asked what the price tag was. I couldn't have asked for a better price. I was expecting a new rack that could meet my needs would cost over $1,000. Then comes the big day of picking up my order and setting it up for the first time. It's a great fit! It's more solid than my old rack ever was and it reduced the "footprint" of my kit. Exact same placement of all toms and cymbals but takes up less room and at a great price! I'm sold! Now I have the task (although a fun one) of filling some of the gaps and adding more toms and/or cymbals since I have a third side now! RECOMMENDATION: Buy it!
Bought this Rack a couple of weeks ago. And I'm amazed on how clamps and the positions you put these in. As I'm standing in front of my kit I'm in AWE thinking I shouldn't be able to do that. But I just did. HA! When your done reading this review hit back arrow and order this rack. You'll be happy you did.
I've been gigging with this bad boy for years now. I have a single bass 8 piece Tama with 11 cymbals that fit amazing well and still looks very clean without that "cluttered" look. It has far exceeded my expectations from the abuse I have put it through. My tear down and set up times have been cut in half and takes up less space then when I had all my stands. Strong? Very, nothing slips or slides. I was once told,"If I buy an Icon rack, I will never go back." Well...for me...they were right.
This drum rack is the best I've seen and used. It is exactly like the DR-503 Pearl Drum Rack, except its curved. It allows for close drum placement and a kit that will not move once you set it up. It looks great and keeps everything in position. Just set it up and BOOM!! You wont have to move anything back in place.
I just bought this rack 2 weeks ago and it was love at first strike. This rack not only looks great but everything stay exactly where you place it.It also helps even greater with the tom mounting systems. You will not be let down and if you have any doubt on a rack that will do everything you have dreamed it would do, this is the "ONE".
I was finally able to get this rack around august of 09 and it changed my entire drum set for the better, it alloys you to keep the comfortable feel of the way you set was on stands just not as crouded (that was big home run for me)any one who is able to gets this rack will love it and its sturdyer that a nascar roll cage.
i mainly bought this rack because of the squared bars. i was tired of my last one because it had the round bars. because of the round bars and the style of music i play, my drums and cymbals would start to droop down closer to me. i had to rest after every song. but with this one i've never had a problem with drooping anything. everything stays where i put it. and to prove to you the awesomness of this rack, my i have 9 drums and 16 cymbals on it and i still have room for more.
I have had this rack for about a year now and it is really standing strong. There is no sway in the drums and I can mount my 4 toms and all my cymbals, and still stand on the rack! This rack is truly amazing. Not to easy to move to gigs but I would never choose another drum rack!
I have been skeptical about buying a drum rack because I feared I would not be able to place my rack toms and cymbals in the exact position needed or sturdiness/ease of use but with this pearl drum rack i get all of these...the square tubing for sure makes all my cymbals and toms stay put and once you get all your gear in place it doesnt move...i even stood on the rack with all the gear and it didnt budge...it makes setup a lot easier and faster for gigs as well...i am overly pleased with this rack from Pearl.
