Great maple snare, great value, great price!

I purchased the 5.5 x 14 in the Black Silk finish. It's a beautiful finish similar to a Transparent Black(Tama, etc). The snares are very responsive, die cast hoops, wide tuning range, quality....all at a great price. This snare drum is comparable to the Masters Premium or Tama Starclassic. The only main difference, besides finish options or hardware upgrades, would be focus rings. Pearl basically has offered a great maple snare, either 5.5 or 6.5 x 14, at a unbelievable price.

WOW!

I got this snare today for my birthday and it sounds great.I have a tama artstar. a gretsch,a slingerland and two sonor force 2000 snares,and this new one is by far my fav. I am leaving this one at home on the studio kit.
