Aircraft-quality aluminum alloy bottom edge ring with all hardware attached, including the throw-off, allowing the shell to resonate freely. The SR-010 throw-off provides super-smooth action. Crafted of 6-ply aged premium maple.

Gunshot . . .

Yep, this snare sounds like a gunshot the way I have it tuned. ITs loud, has loads of crack without lacking body, and a very pleasing amount of overtones. This was the first snare I bought with die-cast hoops, and I am never going back to 2.3mm. And the finish is to die for. So deep and lush, a beautiful drum.
