I purchased the Pearl DCL300P Drop Clutch a few months ago and it was difficult to put on. At first, it was pretty good until trying to release the clutch with my hi-hat pedal, I noticed that it doesn't work. Though I still have the clutch on my hi-hat, I may as well take it off because it doesn't serve any justice for my drum.

This drop clutch isn't what I would expect pearl to come out with. The clutch is decent but the sleeve over the bar wears down very quickly(Mine wore down in less than a year). Their is also a hole in the top of the cluch where the latch catches quite easily. It does work quite well but is sometimes a pain fixing some of the issues with it and while playing at a gig, getting the latch caught so it gives a much different sound than if the cluch was fully released by the latch. Overall just ok

ive used many and this one is great it allows you to control how much choke and slide you want out of your hat....as far as the little allen hole that catches but not a big deal, slide a little drum tape over the hole till you want to adjust... pressure..way to go Pearl
