This pad feels so real that I took hardly any time to adapt to the feel of my real bass drum. I've also found that my comfortable speed limits for double bass have increased about 40 bpm since I got this (only two weeks!). This is a must have for any drummer, be it somebody looking to tear up the double bass kit or somebody looking to hone in their skills with their single pedal. Was everything I could have hoped for. Only thing I'll say is you have to keep checking up on most of the lugs and screws, but that is a small price to pay. I havn't played on anything that feels this real before.
