Well designed and built, this stand is simple to assemble, disassemble, and can be stored and/or transported in the included storage bag. It is also an attractive looking stand and doesn't look too out of place even in a formal room. I'm glad I purched this stand !
When I ordered this stand I was not really sure what to expect. After using it for the first time I was amazed how sturdy it was because I use a heavy song book. It folds up real easy into a carry case. This is a really cool music stand and I highly recommend it. The legs fold out wise enough to give the stand perfect balance and support. Great product and I definitely give it 5 stars.
Have had it for 3 weeks. Heavy plastic. Looks like it will hold up as long as it is treated nice. These are not steel and will not hold up like steel. Top of the line plastic. I will purchase more in the future.
Made of lightweight plastic. Folds up neatly into a small bag. Perfect for my use, mostly at home. May end up using it in a small bar gig as well.
I was looking for a solid backed music stand sturdy enough to hold my big 3 ring binder and my iPad and this is just the thing. It's quick and easy to set up. I also like the fact that it comes in a carrying case with a strap long enough to throw over your shoulder or carry like a backpack. The price is a great value - highly recommended.
I've had a variety of stands over the years and this one is my favorite. It's stable and light and collapses into an easily transportable package-- it's own fabric case with a handle. Unlike some other completely collapsable stands I've used, this one seems designed to avoid nasty finger pinching. It takes maybe 15 seconds longer to set up than my 2-piece stand, but it's worth it. It even has built in tray pegs to help hold your music open. It is also the best bang for the buck out there.
Recently purchased this stand about a month ago because my keyboard's factory clip-on music stand was too weak to support the heavy books and 3-ring binders of sheet music I use. The stand has plenty of strength for the job. There was good adjustment range for height and angle. I was actually able to move the music closer than I could with the keyboard's factory stand. The two swing-up page keepers was a nice feature too. It's very light and the fold-up design with carry bag makes it travel friendly.
It's adjustable, sturdy (my music book is heavy) and folds up neatly into its own bag. Portability makes it great for one-man (or woman)- band gigs. I especially like the click tabs that adjust the height and the way the deck can also be adjusted to lay flat (like a table for small percussion, capos, picks, etc.) Can't beat the price. Light-weight too.
I used to carry a rickety old metal music stand to practice and the music would sometimes fall to the floor or the music stand it self would fall over. Band members at a community band I played in had similar stands that folded up but were steady and had wide enough 'stage' to hold all our music and a folder. I knew of Guitar Center from buying my 12-string guitar there, so I went to their website and searched and found the above stand. I found out why it's a "Top Seller!" It has proven itself from day 1 to be just what I wanted, and it fits in a reasonably small carrying case for transport to practices and performances. Way to go Guitar Center for carrying this item, and way to go Peak for making same.
The Peak portable music stand is a very sturdy stand that folds up into the bag that is included with the stand. The folks at Peak also make some very nice instrument and microphone stands that are of high quality. This is a very good price for this music stand. Karl
