The Honesty Policy

First thing I noticed was the sunburst finish--just beautiful. I hooked it up to a Peavey Valveking 112 and started playing. Being mainly a strat player, the whole "one pickup" deal took some getting used to. But, with a little volume knob tweaking, I was able to get a surprising number of usable tones. The neck was a dream to play--the 25" scale felt perfect whether I was shredding, chording, or just rocking out. PRS bills the SE One as a high quality, no frills guitar, and that is exactly what it is. I could see this being the perfect guitar for classic and alternative rockers. If it had two pickups, I would own one right now. As it is, I still have to try out the SE Soapbar II and the Epi '56 Goldtop. Overall, a rock solid guitar.
