Overview

The Parkwood PW370FM Grand Concert Cutaway Acoustic Electric Guitar has a solid spruce top, and solid mahogany back and sides. Braces are hand scalloped and cosmetic appointments are elegant. The PM370FM is finished in an ultra thin "open pore" finish that lets the sound come through loud and clear.

Whether you've been playing guitar for years, or are looking to upgrade to your first high quality instrument, Parkwood is your only choice for solid woods, expert build, exceptional playability and real tone at an extraordinary price.

Grand Concert Cutaway
This has a slightly smaller body design with a pronounced cutaway that offers excellent access to the upper frets. Preferred by working guitarists who need a comfortable easy to play guitar for long sets.

TOP - Sitka Spruce (Picea sitchensis)
Sitka Spruce comes from the Pacific northwest and today is the most commonly used wood for guitar tops. Sitka is a bit stronger and stiffer than other spruces. Its strength and toughness make it well suited for steel string guitars.

Back & Sides - Mahogany (Khaya ivorensis)
Mahogany is softer and lighter than Rosewood. Generally, Mahogany is warmer and has more low end, providing a strong, thumping bass with an emphasis on clear, bright, airy, trebles. It's also used for bracing, binding, end blocks, heel blocks and necks

Fishman Premium SOB
FISHMAN's latest addition to the Prefix Series includes many features from their Stereo Blender, including an onboard chromatic tuner, internal microphone, and a streamined new look. This updated preamp offers stereo or mono signal paths and a new low-noise circuit for the system's undersaddle pickup and internal microphone. The key improvement to this unit is the addition of a mono/stereo switch, which allows the player to choose between a single blended signal or splitting the onboard microphone and under-saddle signal. Shelving bass and treble, plus a semi-parametric "Contour" EQ is included to shape the guitar's tone. To complete the package, a phase switch and a redesigned notch filter (with more transparency) are included for fighting feedback.

The onboard digital chromatic tuner is highly accurate. The tuner is very reliable and easy to use. It lets the PARKWOOD player blend sounds from both the pickup and the microphone that result in a unique and personal sound that is yours alone.

Very well crafted guitar !!!

Comments about Parkwood PW370M GC Cutaway Acoustic Electric Guitar:

I have owned this guitar for several months now. I love the fit and finish. It plays and sounds extremely well. It needed minor adjustments to make it mine. Readjusted the neck, Changed the strings, Made a new bridge from deer antler, and added Buffalo bone pins. This is now the best sounding guitar I have ever played. When I plugged it in the sound was exact just amplified. Save your money this guitar is a $3,000.00 guitar in disguise. Play one today and fall in love !!!!

Amazing guitar, definately worth the money

Comments about Parkwood PW370M GC Cutaway Acoustic Electric Guitar:

This guitar is fantastic. The first time i played it i loved the sound. I went back 3 more times to make sure the guitar gave me that same feeling and it did. It's not a really bass sounding guitar so the deeper notes don't over power the higher which is nice. When you play this guitar you fingers easily glide from fret to fret, each note ringing out clear. It's also, even for an acoustic, an extremely light guitar. This guitar's wood and finish are also beautiful and bold. Another thing i noticed when first playing this guitar was how its tuning pegs glided smoothly and held in tune very well. When hooking this guitar up to an amp it still holds a very acoustic sound. This guitar is worth every penny

Unbelievable high-end quality and tone at 1/3 to 1/2 the price!

By JDinGeorgia

Comments about Parkwood PW370M GC Cutaway Acoustic Electric Guitar:

I have been looking at various acoustics from Martin, Breedlove and Taylor for the past couple of months, but I kept coming back to this one particular Parkwood PW370FM. For 1/3 to 1/2 the price of the leading high-end models, this guitar sounds every bit as nice, looks every bit as nice and feels every bit as nice. The fit and finish is very nice & clean. This is the only guitar that I have ever picked up that needed absolutely *NO* further set-up or tweaking. The intonation was spot on and the action was perfect (for me). I can get a warm, full bodied "branggg" out of this guitar as well as a very sweet, shimmering ring and anything in between. I get great sustain, far better than I expected. I've had no problems at all with it drifting out of tune. The Fishman SOB is more than flexible enough to eliminate feedback so that you can turn it up and be heard in the mix. It is simply unbelievable for a "made in China" instrument. Now, maybe this particular guitar may be an outstanding anomaly so don't take *only* my word for it. But if you are looking for an acoustic at or above this price range, I would sincerely urge you to play one of these before you make a decision. There's nothing at all wrong with the Martin, Taylor and Breedlove guitars that I tried -- to be sure, those are very fine guitars. But as far as tone and playability goes, this one was just as good as most of those high-end models, if not better in some cases -- and at a far lower price. This one is a keeper. I don't ever see me trading or selling it. Period.

Above and beyond customer service!

By Parkwood Guy

from Boston

Comments about Parkwood PW370M GC Cutaway Acoustic Electric Guitar:

I have now been recording and playing a Parkwood PW370 since Nov 2006. I LOVE this guitar. Look, feel and tone, I love it. I had an unfortunate event though. A bass I own fell off the wall and hit the side of the guitar and cracked it. Knowing this had nothing to do with Parkwood I called and explained what happened. They told me if I paid shipping they would repair the guitar. I sent them the guitar and within 2 weeks I had it back repaired as good as new! These guys stand behind their product.

An awesome piece, at an awesome price!

By Sold In 60 Seconds...

Comments about Parkwood PW370M GC Cutaway Acoustic Electric Guitar:

I recently picked up one of these while shopping for another acoustic, and was sold within 30 seconds. The quality, sound, and most of all the PLAYABILITY of these guitars are just insane. I had recently sold a new Taylor 410-CE I had purchased thinking it would be everything I ever wanted/needed. The Taylor quality and sound was nice, but I just sadly wasn't impressed with the playability for the $1900 price I paid. If you're shopping for something at the Taylor level, I urge you to just play one of these first. You will NOT be disappointed, and the craftsmanship is a rival for even Taylor in my opinion.

Won't be dissappoined!

By sabato

from Portland, OR

Comments about Parkwood PW370M GC Cutaway Acoustic Electric Guitar:

I've had this guitar for about 8 months now and haven't been dissappointed with it yet. Everything from the fit/finish to the electronics, the PW370M has been excellent. Before buying this guitar, I considered the Taylor 314CE, Breedlove Atlas 25 and a few others in the $1000 to $1500 range. I was actually set on getting the Taylor when the salesperson said to try the Parkwood. After playing it numerous times, I couldn't pass the guitar up. In my opinion, it has the best dollar-for-guitar ratio out there. Its sound is not exactly like the Taylor, but it's pretty close. The Parkwood is also very easy to play. Another great thing about this guitar is the pickup. When it's plugged in, it sounds amazing. I play it on stage during worship services and it gives a great, full sound, with little adjustment. If you're looking for a guitar in the 1K price range, don't forget to try this one. Easily one of the best guitars for the money.
