Overview

The Parkwood PW320M Grand Auditorium Acoustic Guitar has a solid spruce top, and solid mahogany back and sides. Braces are hand scalloped and cosmetic appointments are elegant. The PM320M is finished in an ultra thin "open pore" finish that lets the sound come through loud and clear.

Whether you've been playing for years, or are looking to upgrade to your first high quality guitar, Parkwood is your only choice for solid woods, expert build, exceptional playability and real tone at an extraordinary price.

AUDITORIUM
Also known as OM (Orchestra) with its slimmer waist and smaller overall body shape. This style has a clear and flexible tone. The smaller body is reminiscent of guitars used by many of the classic blues players.

OPEN PORE FINISH
This finish is applied in several layers that allow the open pores of the wood to be felt and to also allow the wood to breathe and vibrate at its best. You can actually feel the wood grain, like it was a raw unfinished piece of wood. The tone of an open pore finish is loud, alive and natural.

TOP - Sitka Spruce (Picea sitchensis)
Sitka Spruce comes from the Pacific northwest and today is the most commonly used wood for guitar tops. Sitka is a bit stronger and stiffer than other spruces. Its strength and toughness make it well suited for steel string guitars.

BACK & SIDES - Mahogany (Khaya ivorensis)
Mahogany is softer and lighter than Rosewood. Generally, Mahogany is warmer and has more low end, providing a strong, thumping bass with an emphasis on clear, bright, airy, trebles. It's also used for bracing, binding, end blocks, heel blocks and necks

Comments about Parkwood PW320M GA Acoustic Guitar:

I never review anything but I felt compelled to share my opinion on this one. I went in to the store expecting to walk out with a $1500 Taylor....I left with this instead (by choice, no less) Plays great, sounds great, looks great! Give it a chance!

LOVE THIS GUITAR!

By bthouse

Comments about Parkwood PW320M GA Acoustic Guitar:

Love this guitar so much I want to marry it and have little baby Parkwoods with it. I used to play an Alvarez but was looking to upgrade. I had my eye on an Epiphone Hummingbird. But the second I played this Parkwood I was sold. I played a few Taylors and Martains to compare it to. And honestly the Parkwood played just as well if not better than the $1000 - $1500 models. The action is good. The tone is great. And it stays in tune. Just go to Guitar Center and try it for yourself.

Thanks, Michael

Comments about Parkwood PW320M GA Acoustic Guitar:

After playing just about every acoustic within this range, the Salesman put this in my hand. I have small hands and this felt like we were made for each other. Action was low with a smooth neck and frets. Real wood vs. the lower-end Martin laminate. Great sound-rich lows and not too piercing highs. Finally...great eye-candy. Nice full body, neck and headstock binding. All wrapped up in a fair value. Only negative is the cheap black plastic tuning buttons....which is an easy and inexpensive fix.

Great All-Solid!

By CBDBRP

from Newington, CT

Comments about Parkwood PW320M GA Acoustic Guitar:

I have had this model for close to a year and I am still blown away by just how good this guitar sounds. I bought mine when the price was considerably higher but I still feel like I got a good deal. You can't get a better all solid acoustic anywhere near the price of this guitar and it makes no excuses for it's modest price tage.

Well made guitar in solid tonewood. Great tone and playability. Love the way you can feel the tones, they claim it is the open pour finish, whatever it is you feel this guitar sing.

Great

By Bobby

from New York

Comments about Parkwood PW320M GA Acoustic Guitar:

I got this as my fourth guitar and let me just say it is excellent. I got mine from Guitar Center but when I bought it, it was only $400. It plays so smooth and sounds better from all the other guitars I tried around that price range. I had never heard of this brand before but now I respect it so much. Its got nice action and rarely goes out of tune. Overall Its a great guitar.

Awesome guitar for your money...

By Will

from Oregon

Comments about Parkwood PW320M GA Acoustic Guitar:

I was trying out some of the Martins and Taylors, and came across this guitar... It may be small, but it sure has a great tone and sound to it! And at $500, coming with solid wood and not laminate is unheard of. If you're in the market for a new guitar, try this one. You won't be dissapointed.
